I got power directly from the vehicle following the instructions included with the wiring kit purchased separately. The appearance of the install looks like it was done by a professional and the size is just right for most cars. The camera stopped working briefly and I contacted customer support via the form on the website. OMG, they were very responsive. They sent me a patch and detailed instructions on how to apply it. When it took me a little time to get back at it, they followed up with me to make sure everything was ok. Their support was the most thoughtful and professional that I have ever experienced. I have really gotten used to the digital rearview mirror, since it saves me from looking through the cab, especially when I'm loaded with people and gear. Over the past two years, I haven't had to resort to using it for any major incidents, so that is an unexciting positive. I mounted it on the spoiler below my third brake light, and it gives me a clear view behind me. This is also a plus when carrying something on the hitch, such as a cargo basket that can block the OEM backup camera Pros: 1. Digital rearview gives a clear view outside during the daytime. 2. Mirror is seamless, and with the OEM bracket it is even more integrated. Critiques & Cons: 1. Night vision from the rear camera swings from a bit of glare with traffic behind you to almost complete darkness when alone on the road. Anywhere in between, the video is a little bit noisy and grainy at night. 2. All the harnesses on the top of the camera get to be a bit much. With this model and others in the lineup (3-ch and upcoming 4-ch), a hideaway module would be nice to slim it down to one input wire harness. And when using the OEM mirror mount bracket (that has a hollow shaft), this would allow one wire to pass through the mount to an input directly on the backside (not on top!). 3. Integrate GPS. My Escort radar detector has GPS integrated. Heck, our phones do this all day long. An extra wire harness and GPS puck to install somewhere has no place these days. 4. The 3.5mm jack for the rearview camera right off the bat had a finicky connection (had to put pressure on the plug to make it work). Wolfbox quickly sent me a replacement mirror unit that solved the issue. 5. Constant prompts to format the SD card. Not sure if the quality of the supplied SD card has deteriorated over the past two years. Replaced with a reputable brand card to hopefully solve this issue. 6. Daytime glare washes out the video screen. They sell a separate anti-glare film for the screen. This should simply be part of the mirror (i.e., radio screen, etc.). The tradeoff is that daytime viewing is solved, but if you turn the screen off (to look into the cabin), you can't see. OEM's (Chevy, Jeep, etc.) seem to have this figured out. 7. Needs to have an ambient light sensor to up brightness during day and fade out at night. See several other brands that do this. 8. An interior view camera should be integrated into the housing as well. Seen other brands do this as well. I love my Wolfbox and hope to upgrade in the future. The verbiage in their product description looked better than most which is the first thing I look for. Opened up the box and got out the camera and suction cup mount. I immediately noticed that the clip, which connects the camera to the suction cup, was oriented 90° incorrectly, effectively pointing your camera towards the driver or passenger side windows instead of forward towards the windshield, where it was clearly designed to be facing. The camera may operate well but I have no idea. They failed to successfully execute the first step in making a functional dash cam so there was no need for me to even turn it on. If they were unable to get this step correct, I'm not willing to gamble on whether or not the camera will perform when I need it to most. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. B0DJ6N4CYQ US

Simple to use and set up, decent enough quality, easy enough to change settings, but the adhesive they use to actually mount the cameras, is legitimately garbage. I've tired using the cling film and making sure my windshield was spotless, both times the camera fell down WHILE I WAS DRIVING. It's definitely not 3M anymore, and I cant even use it until I find a way to glue the adhesive to the cling film. I do not recommend this dashcam for long term use.
