The controls took a little getting used to, but I had it set up in no time. The image was okay... it could read the license plate of the person sitting in traffic right in front of you, but it wasn't particularly sharp. It aligned with the amount I paid for it. Unfortunately, I only had it going for about a year before it bit the dust -- specifically the front camera. First, the camera started turning off and back on repeatedly. It would do this only occasionally, maybe once a month, and then it began to do it every time we drove. Then the front camera screen began to flicker and finally it just turned black and has stayed that way for a while. I tried troubleshooting the issue but I believe it's done for. I don't know exactly what caused its demise, but I have some suspicions. First of all, the camera is attached to the front windshield with a suction cup. It's a very strong suction cup that can be locked down, but it failed several times and the camera went flying, attached meekly to its umbilical cord. Sometimes it emerged unscathed, but at least once it hit the dash. If only it could have been attached like the back camera, which could withstand a nuclear holocaust... that adhesive had to have been developed for some serious stuff. It's a little champ. So I only have back camera action for now. I'll have to figure out how to remove that little duder eventually when I buy a new camera, which may or may not be by this brand... but I will definitely not get one that attaches by a suction cup. I get that it's nice to move it around, but we never needed to, and with temperature fluctuations on glass, it was kind of doomed from the start. Bummer. B09P14VT3C US

They were very accommodating and offered me several options to rectify the dissatisfaction I initially experienced. I chose the replacement, as I have two friends who purchased the exact same product from the same company at the same time and have experienced no problems whatsoever. The replacement arrived very quickly and after installing it in my vehicle, I am happy to say everything looks fine and seems to be operating perfectly. We'll see how this goes in the future, but I can say at this point with no trepidation that their customer service is beyond excellent. It will not do parking mode without a continuous power cable, which is fine as all dashcams do that. But it's also got an internal battery that will let it continuously record in 4k + 2.5k for at least 48hours when the car is off, which sort of becomes parking mode? I don't want to record in 4k for "parking mode" though, but there is no option to switch to what is advertised as parking mode (1FPS for 12/24hrs) unless you are using their power cable... This makes zero sense, use the on-board battery as clearly it can handle it! Additionally, in a single day of driving (two commutes) the camera shut-down and restarted it's self while driving about four times, which is unacceptable. Finally, the included 64gb card is comically small, it's roughly 6hrs of video at 4k+2.5k so if something happened you better get to the camera quickly (and given it keeps recording 4k+2.5k when you turn off you car this is especially important). Like 99% of the time it does, but 1% of the time, it never records the trip. Also it says "mirror" dash cam, but as a mirror, it's terrible. It's so dark at dusk and night, that you can't see other cars unless they've turned on their lights - which at dusk, doesn't always happen. To me, it's a hazard in that respect - you cannot depend on spotting everything so you need to make an extra effort to ensure you know what's around you. Installation varies by vehicle, for mine, it was a little difficult because of the access from the trunk to the license plate where the backup camera gets installed is a bit complicated. Also, not everything I needed to install the backup camera was provided - fortunately I was able to use the hardware from the camera I was replacing. Not everyone will have that option. The camera captures good video, but the most important part of a Dash Cam is accurate date/time stamp. with this camera it is extremely difficult to find the footage you need to review, because the camera doesn't keep time accurately. I have reset the date and time manually and let it sync automatically, several times... but each time I go back to review files, I couldn't find the date I was looking for, because it's not there. For example, it is currently August 27, 2026. The video files only go up to July 20, 2026, but the videos are obviously in this month. NOTE: My vehicle outlet stays powered up for approximately 3-5 minutes after the vehicle shuts off, and then the camera shuts off, so when I start the vehicle back up, the camera powers back up. I can't figure out if the powering on & off has anything to do with it, but it stinks. I originally thought it was because I set the recording time to 3 minutes, so I changed it to 5 minutes and it still can keep time. S*** I had some issues with the mount sticking to the windshield (original review below). The company immediately responded and provided what I needed to keep the camera mounted as needed. I have not used it a lot, but it appears to be working as stated and doing what it is supposed to do. The true test will probably be when I need to download video, but with the app, that appears to be an easy process. I purchased the wiring to have it activate when the car is off (low-draw on battery). It was pretty easy to install and I'm very glad I took the time to add that feature. Well worth the extra cost and work! Original: After a very short time mounted on the windshield, the suction stopped working. Then a screw came apart and it can’t be used. So that was kind of a pain. The power cord is also wayyyy too long. I understand they give you enough to be able to hide it under the car panels but it would have been nice to have a shorter one because I don't mind the cord hanging down.
