The metal frame is solid and puts my logitech g710+ to shame. The key register is very accurate. I do wish it had an optional arm rest, but we can always buy some. I'm not that big into RBG, but it definitely looks nice. I can say most of our devs can type over 70 words per minute, and they have handled nonstop clacking abuse for the last few months without fail. When my g710+ dies; I will be buying this for home use as well. Pros: Metal frame Sturdy...weighs around 2 pounds. Very Accurate RBG colors are very vibrant. It is fairly light considering the features and comes out of the box with a fantastic typing experience. Key travel feels nice and smooth and bottoms out at a good spot , each key makes a satisfying thock even with stock switches. The software impressed me very much with this keyboard as well, it allows many options for customization but my favorite are the fairly powerful macro editor for world of Warcraft and how lightweight the software is overall, very small download size and doesn’t use more than 5mb RAM in the background which is impressive. My steel serie keyboard had a customization software that used almost half a gig or 1000mb of ram so this is VERY impressive from my view. Turn the brightness down on the backlighting and you’ll find the battery to be good in its own right. Nothing crazy but it’s a fine sized battery for the product. Overall I give 9.5/10. EDIT: on 3/22 my selector knob broke and I have tried emailing them and contacting their support discord, I cannot purchase another knob from the manufacturer no matter how hard I try so 2/5 good keyboard but if something breaks and you wanna buy replacement part, good luck B0CCZWCPRQ US

I like having the mouse touchpad included. Yeah, I know I'm weird; I prefer the touchpad over the mouse—most people don't. Also, the yellow button above the escape key is odd; all it does is click the mouse button. However, I would change several things to improve it, all of which would increase the cost: 1) Make it connect via Bluetooth, so you don't need the little USB dongle. Unfortunately, my laptop only has USB-C ports, so I have to attach an adapter, and so it hangs off the side. 2) Add a rechargeable battery. It uses AAA batteries which is okay but not great 3) Make the keys backlit To change the F-keys, you have to use the Logitech Options app, which is somewhat inconvenient. This is the worst keyboard I have ever purchased. IMMEDIATELY, maybe 1 or 2 weeks after being received, this keyboard began running into issues with a series of keys (the keys C,D,F,R,T notably) all in the same region on the keyboard. The keys would simply miss being clicked onto the screen, and I learned needed to SOMETIMES be pushed harder or longer to type. The issue grew over time, and now I am noticing that the keyboard needs to be physically tweaked (ie. grabbing the corners and lightly twisting) for it to be able to type anything, even though the touchpad is currently working. Speaking of the touchpad, its one of the worst I have used. It's difficult to explain but it FEELS like it has a super low resolution of input, where it just simply will not register small movements, and so you need to sometimes make bigger swirling moves then bring the cursor back to where you were originally trying to click. And speaking of clicking, the buttons below the touchpad will lose the fact that you are holding them down at times. So if you're dragging files or selecting text it will just sometimes let go of the click mid-drag. There is however another click button in the top left that seems to hold connection much better, so if I am moving a lot of files and need to be careful I will choose to use that button instead. It works, technically, but not well at all. I would expect this from some no-name manufacturer, but this is Logitech, the world leader in keyboards and mice. I expect better from them. B014EUQOGK US

It's a overall mediocre keyboard. The quality of the keyboard is what you would expect. I pulled some of the keys off for cleaning and found that there was hard edges that could leave cuts with enough pressure, yikes. It feels like cheap plastic as well and shows so much grease. The switches aren't bad and will serve you. If all you care about is gaming and maybe some typing, I recommend you should look at non RGB options to find something that's of better quality. The RGB is really bad, you have 6 light options, and like 5 animation presets that are basically what you would expect out of a basic RGB keyboard, some breathing action, waves, a gradient, the rainbow unicorn fart spiral. The worse part of the keyboard is the "programmable macros". They don't even work half the times and the stock program used is absolutely garbage. Luckily 3rd party software works. If you care about all these features, I would highly recommend paying the extra 20$ for the Corsair K55. They only thing better the K512 has over the K55 is the wrist wrest which connects using magnetic instead of a plastic clip. B09N9FR2FH US
