This is actually the second portable monitor I have purchased through Amazon, so I decided to purchase the 3 year protection on this one this time. I'm so glad I did. I was worried it would be a pain, but Asurion has already sent me a shipping label and is supposed to refund me via a gift card for the full amount of purchase as soon as they recieve the return. Patrick *** Ok so I almost sent this back. Similar to what someone else was saying, I bought this monitor and was at first extremely disappointed in the color and brightness. The colors were grey and dull, and the monitor was not very bright at all (and was on maximum brightness). I turned on my old IPS monitor next to it and saw that it was way brighter, and thought to myself, I am sending this overpriced piece of.... back. But the next day, after looking for a replacement and not finding any nearby, I decided to give it another shot and started fiddling with the remote settings. Turns out there are color Presets, and the default one (which ironically is 'Gamer 1') is absolute garbage. The second mode is descent (Gamer 2), but I choose vivid, cause that makes everything pop, and somehow makes the monitor brighter. Like, a lot brighter compared to the first mode. From there, you can play around with settings in your game to get the best colors for that particular game. But yeah, LG, if you read this, just start with vivid. As soon as you turn off your PC, the monitor loses the signal, locks the menu buttons, and starts flashing a bright blue light like crazy. Because you can't even use the power button once your PC is off, you have to turn the screen off before your computer, or just stick a piece of black tape over the light so it doesn't blink in your face all night. McK*** This monitor is great and easy to hook up and start working right away. The monitor image is clear and fast refreshing when mirroring and extending monitor displays. The hue is very comparable to the LG gram and other monitors that LG produces. The clarity of image is a little less than my LG gram, but for anything at normal desk view distance and lighting you are going to really like this monitor! I use it for my cad work and it is able to display quickly and there is no lag between my work system and the display. It is a good setup for work stations. For light and color contrasting you can dial it in quite a bit through the internal settings, but you wont see as much detailing as if you get another one of LG's curved monitors with better display features. The size of the monitor stand is relatively low profile for this size of screen. It allows for 3 axis motion so you can set it up perfectly for your view on your desk. The quick snap in option makes initial setup only seconds. The only thing that I don't like on this monitor is the display wire connections are only HDMI and DP. There are no micro or usb-c ports. In order to use this along with a LG gram you will need a display adapter. The other thing that drives me nuts is the plug! It is so large and makes it nearly impossible to plug it in along with other devices in the same pair outlet or plug strip. I already had 3 regular monitors in the house, but as someone who loves tech, particularly portable tech, I wanted to pick one up just to try it out. I went with this model because it was cheap and the reviews were good. So what do I think? I'm actually fairly impressed for the price. It's quite light, and compact, not much bulkier than a full sized tablet. The build quality is decent, it's an all plastic build and should hold up to normal use. That being said, I wouldn't hand this to a child nor toss it around carelessly. In terms of connectivity, you're getting two USB C ports (for power and video) and a mini HDMI port for video. The other side gives you a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio out. This gives you all the essentials. You could potentially connect 3 devices as long as they had a battery or separate power source. And while the display has on board speakers, they are frankly terrible as most monitor speakers are. They should do just fine for a zoom call or casual viewing, otherwise a good pair of pair of headphones or external speakers will help. In terms of picture quality, it's solid. It's 1080p, 60hz and supports HDR. Text is sharp, colors are decent, and I didn't have any particular gripes with either motion handling or input lag. Now I wouldn't want to use this a daily driver for PC or gaming, but as a secondary display or for traveling, it holds up fairly well. In terms of ease of use, it nails the essentials. I love how quickly the display starts up and automatically detects the proper input. It's the other aspects that I found lacking. I've never been a huge fan of folio style cases and this one is no different. It's wobbly, and I would be careful where you place it. The menus are difficult to navigate due to using an uncomfortable rocker that has a small nub that requires you to push down to actuate. Even something as simple as changing the volume is difficult because it's buried in the menu. That wouldn't be so bad if it didn't default to 50% and reset every time you took out the power. Despite these gripes, I can overlook a lot for $50. It does exactly what you need it to do, and if you're like me and want it for occasional travel or as a second PC display, then this will certainly fit the bill. If you're wanting something that's going to give you better performance and build quality, there are higher end models out there. B088D8JG3L US

The only two minor, minor issues I have/had with it are: 1. Initially I found the type of curve to be slightly distracting. It is not a consistent curve along the full length of the monitor. Instead the curve is slightly sharper in the middle, and that curve gradually has less curve as it gets out to each left and right side of the screen. It is an intentional design, and I don't even notice that any more. 2. Occasionally(once every few weeks) there are small,very light/minor staticy interruptions horizontally across the screen. I turn power off to the monitor and then back on and issue is solved. Pretty rare, and not a major issue. I have yet to figure out what triggers it.
