Despite having hdmi 2.1, dsc must be enabled to reach 360hz. Otherwise 180hz is the maximum. Additionally, turning Gsync off while in a full screen application causes the monitor to revert to 180hz. I had to fully exit the game then re-enable Gsync to again reach 360hz. Then there's the flicker. Perhaps it's something one can get used to over time but I could not. The anti-flicker menu setting seems to either do nothing or make it slightly worse. My 1440p 300hz ips is ultra smooth by comparison. The clarity and colors were outstanding with the exception of black tones. Blacks had fairly obvious banding/gradiation. I don't really understand why manufacturers aren't rapidly adopting dp 2.1 but I think I'll wait until they do before trying oled again. It took me several attempts to change the color temperatures and other picture quality settings to get a near identical image to the Steam Deck itself. I was even able to connect my iPhone 15 Pro to the monitor via USB-C without plugging in the USB-C AC Power source. However, after the first night, when I tried connecting the Steam Deck in the same way, I kept getting the “Power Saving Mode” and was unable to use the monitor the entire night. The manual does not explain whether this works truly like a monitor or if there’s some charge or backup battery. I assume the iPhone connection was a lucky fluke but that doesn’t explain why my steam deck no longer connects. Not only this power issue, but the lack of clarity on the provided equipment. Some older comments and reviews showcase the various USB-C to USB-A cables and even an AC Wall Outlet adapter. The manual on this Amazon Shopping page shows “USB Type A to USB Type C Power Cable” and “Power Adapter 5V 2A (10W)” are supposed to be included as well. However, other videos and my own box and manual states that only the USB C cable and Mini HDMI to HDMI cables are provided. This is confusing as I am unable to tell what this product is supposed to include. There doesn’t seem to be any other version on Amazon of the MNN M156F01 priced differently due to including more or less cables. Amazon sellers are free to change the product and its selling points throughout the lifetime of its sale but I think they should update their manuals and product specifications if they do make changes that contradict prior Amazon reviews. Image quality is great but you may need to have external speakers. I personally preferred loud sound when playing games and watch videos . So far I am very pleased . Note that the screen came with card promising 12 months warranty!!
