If you have a hardside free-flow waterbed, this heater is a good match. I bought this heater for my queen size free flow waterbed and was skeptical at first because of the size. The thermostat sensor is built into the wiring harness so no need to run a separate wire. After I installed the heater, I filled the mattress and the waiting began. The first two days I was convinced the heater was not working. After the second day, I took a temperature reading, and it was reading 73 degrees on the "4" setting on the dial. I turned the dial up to "5" and within hours it climbed to 76 degrees. This is where I became really concerned. So I took it to "6.5" on the dial, and it took until the next day where I finally saw numbers I wanted to see which was 83 degrees. Be aware water temperature under 80 degrees is not recommended to sleep on due to mild hypothermia. So when I saw the 83 degrees on my thermometer, I was very happy. I was able to sleep on the mattress finally and it was very comfortable. I would recommend this heater. Took 3 days for the water to warm up so expect that. The only thing I do not like is the dial. The whole module is very small and gets warm when it is running. It kicks on and off to maintain your desired temperature. Also, the tiny led light on the dial is hard to see. You have to be practically in front of it to see it. If you buy this heater for your waterbed, you will be satisfied. B006C0NI6A US

La Crosse Technology Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer & Atomic Clock (513-149) 2 Not so great. Gre*** Pros: Looks great, large digits for visibility across the room. Good design for a basic Clock/Weather station. Cons: Hard to get the signal for the time sync. This is on the wall about 14" above my countertop Oregon Scientific atomic clock. That one gets a constant signal. The La Crosse might show the sync icon (the radar dish) once a week, if that often. (Yes, I put the La Crosse on the counter next to the Oregon Scientific. It made no difference) I have to take the La Crosse into another room and put it up against the window to get it to sync time when I change batteries, it never can find the signal when restarted unless its against that window. Unfortunately, I have to do that trip to the window frequently. The sensor eats batteries. In three months, two sets of fully charged rechargables and one set of brand new regular batteries have been drained. And for me, once the clock loses the link to the sensor, you have to take the batteries out of the clock and start from scratch. But wait, you say. There's a button on top that lets you tell the clock to search for that signal from the sensor. Yeah, but by then the clock has done sort of lockup, and doesn't respond to any of those buttons. (Change F to C, seek time signal, seek sensor signal, etc.) So the only way to regain the sensor input is to reset the clock. I will say it was a Warehouse Deal. I'm not sure that has much to do with it, as it looked great when I unpacked it. B00992Z514 US

My first mistake was to season it. As the directions say, it does not need to be seasoned. Finally scrubbed and removed my seasoning. Just a light coat of oil or butter and I had no problem with things sticking. Pancakes turned easily and even omelets could be folded quite easily. Placed on my existing barbecue grill, it could easily be heated to over 500°. One difficulty was using my infrared thermometer. On spots where the seasoning oil had darkened I could get some quick accurate measurements, but trying to get readings off of the shiny stainless steel parts was difficult to say the least. Heat Storm Sahara 1500 Watt Infrared Space Heater 5 Works well, quite and effective Ha*** Obviously this isn't the cheapest option available but we are happy with it. We have been using it to keep our nursery warmer than the rest of the house at night this winter. This heater is extremely useful for this purpose because it regulates itself with its own thermostat. It will operate at high power if necessary but will generally switch on and off at lower power to maintain a steady temperature. Our home's furnace runs on a schedule that allows the house to cool significantly at night before warming again around the time we get up. With this space heater we don't have to worry about continually making adjustments to make sure the temp in the nursery is correct.(as we would have to if it was like most other space heaters with a simple knob or low-med-high settings.) All in all we are quite happy with the product. A few observations: The heater sits on the floor and so obviously its thermostat reads the temperature close to the floor. (typically a lower reading) The thermometer on our baby monitor consistently reads higher than the one on the heater, but that really isn't an issue so long as they are consistent. (we just set the thermostat on the heater a few degrees lower than we want the room) This heater has a fan to circulate air through itself. This allows the heater to more effectively heat large spaces. (It claims to be capable of heating ~1,000 sq ft, which I can't vouch for) The fan is quiet but it is audible. The heater also makes some clicking noises when it kicks on and off. The heating element glows red in operation... this heater actually puts out quite a bit of light, particularly when running on high. The light/warmth are pleasant but if you want things pitch black be aware that this heater doubles as a night-light when on. (which means intermittently off and on if it is set to maintain a temperature) The heater's shell is primarily plastic but it feels solid and durable. It sits on four legs close to the ground and would be very difficult to tip over. There is a handle at the top for easy movement and it is not heavy. B00DXY960A US
