Now my DS is dead. 4.The volume switch is hard to get it if your in the middle of a game and can't move well. 5.The on off button is odd and is enoying to switch. 6.the styles is different and not a comfortable. 7.The DS is weaker and it got broken quickly. 8. The sound is weak because the speakers are small and hard to hear. 9. Its frozen on me several times, during gameplay so I had to shut it off before I could go on. 10.its shiney on the outside so it gets, and stays, dirty real easy. 11.The hinge breaks. 12.the screen gets scraped easily and it doesn't keep ahold of the screen protectores too well. BlackBerry PRD-38548-003 Playbook 7" Tablet, 64GB 5 Best tablet I have ever used...Period. G. Do*** After doing much research and having tried all the premiere tablets on the market, I landed on RIM's BlackBerry Playbook. I tried out the iPad 3 and I was not terribly impressed. It felt very fragile in my hands, like it could break if I squeezed it too hard, the speakers truly suck as they sound tinny, and these are problems are significant given the money Apple charges. I have a BB smartphone and I have always been impressed at how well-made their products are. This made the playbook a no-brainer for me...I had no idea just how superior it is...the QNX processor is lightning fast and can easily manage several open windows. You can edit word documents, spreadsheets, and it has flash player which iPad does NOT. The screen and video camera is HD. I opted for the 64gb model, as the price difference between the three sizes is negligible so it's worth it to upgrade to 64gb. Though, with cloud storage, for most people, 16gb is probably plenty. The touch keyboard is exceedingly comfortable and the most intuitive I have ever used...it really does learn how you write and anticipates your word choices. It has a port for a micro hdmi cable so you can enjoy your downloaded content on your hdtv. I bought this cable (sold separately)for only 4 bucks on amazon. The PB is comfortable to hold as the build quality is immediately apparent. It does not feel like it's going to fall apart if you drop it. The processor is faster than any laptop I have ever used. The web browser is like flipping pages in a book. If you have BB phone...it open up a flurry of additional features called BlackBerry Bridge. The bluetooth connection syncs the two devices so you can manage appts, contacts, view, receive and reply to your text messages using your BB smartphone as a transmitter. Your phone can be used as a remote control when watching a video or listening to music and you can browse the website for your phone's keyboard...it is a really amazing set of features...and best of all you can use your BB phone's data package to use 3/4g connectivity if you do not have access to to wife/hotspot so you do NOT need to sign up for a data service. If it seems I am gushing over this product, it's because it's that good. So those of you who may think BB products are out, this will remind you as to why BB has such loyal fans. And finally, it is simply priced...nowhere else will you find a tablet of such superior quality, enormous storage, awesome features, great versatility (ideal for home and work) and just plain fun for the jaw-dropping low price as I purchased it for slightly over 200 bucks (reg 700). Do not waste your money on the iPad...RIM has outdone themselves with this tablet. Outstanding product. Note: just to recommend some accessories to maximize your enjoyment...make certain to get a case of some description...there are many which come with a bluetooth keyboard built in...I opted for the Otterbox Defender as I have 2 year old twins and this case can take a beating and perfectly preserve your tablet. I wanted to give myself plenty of time with it to give a decent review. Overall, I love it. I wanted an e-Reader plus a little more and that is exactly what I got. It has worked flawlessly from the word go. What I like: The Fire feels substantial when it comes out of the box. It feels good in your hands - maybe a touch heavier than I anticipated, but nothing major. Navigation is easy with the book shelf style desktop. The Kindle app is what you would expect. I've been using the Kindle app on my Droid-based phone and found the gestures and usability almost identical. The app selection is decent. I purchased a few for my daughter to use for educational fun and she loves them. Watching video on the device was more pleasant than I anticipated. I watched a few old Twilight Zone episodes and found them to run with no breaks, crystal clear, and they were free with the Amazon Prime trial. The device settings are easy to find and set. I found the browser to be quick and easy to use - no complaints there. What I wish was different: The screen is crystal clear and contrary to earlier reviews prior to product launch, the view is not distorted at various angles. With that crystal clear screen, the glare is awful. It's almost like a mirror. I'm going to investigate the anti-glare screen protectors. With the email reader that comes with the Kindle, there is no way to have your mail automatically checked at predetermined intervals. The app selection is OK. To me, the most apparent void is the suite of Google apps (GMail, Calendar, Reader, Maps, etc...). I'm hoping they make an appearance soon. A volume change button on the side of the device would also be nice. Overall: I think perception is key here. If you think this is an alternative to the iPad, the Fire is not that. Nexus 7 from Google (7-Inch, 16 GB, Black) by ASUS (2013) Tablet 1 Great until it stopped working!! JamR*** I purchased this in store on April 7 2014, few weeks go by and I am loving this device. Than on April 26 I plug it in to charge and go to use it a few hours later and the screen will not turn on. The device still works as I can hear it unlock using facial recognition. I can also guess where the numbers are and unlock the device that way too. I can make it ring using find my android. I can also plug it in to a PC and browse the files. Just what appears to be a randomly broken screen. No damage to the device at all and it has never been dropped. I babied the device. After calling best buy and learning their return and exchange policy is ONLY 15 days and that they would not take it back, I called google. Google was no help and told me to call Asus. Asus gave me an RMA number and I have to return it at my own expense for warranty repair. Btw, they say they may send you a re-manufactured or re-certified device in its place.....I have a screen protector on the device which will ruin the protector if I remove it, so I guess that is also more money down the drain. To make it worse I will have to pay for data while my device is away getting repaired or replaced. If you google nexus 7 screen problems or nexus 7 power problems. It's scary the amount of people with similar problems. There are all sorts of different power on/off sequences with power on and volume buttons to try and fix but none of them actually do. Will report back with what my experience with Asus is like. Very disappointed in best buy. If they can't guarantee a product for at least 30 days then they do not deserve my future business. Lots of other retailers both on and offline which still do 30 day. update: May 7 2014, Asus has had the device for 1 full week now, they have not been able to provide me a status online or through their support team. The install was surprisingly easy and I didn't end up with any bubbles or dust under the protector. It comes with a very good cleaning kit and 2 separate high-quality, microfiber cloths. The texture of the protector is very similar to the Cintiq's natural surface, with just a little bit more grip. I know a few of the other reviews mentioned the monitor seemed a little less crisp once the screen protector was on, but I have not noticed any difference at all. This product is worth the extra thirty dollars, especially since replacing a Cintiq's glass screen is right around $600 (last I checked). As long as you take your time and are careful with the cleaning, and follow the installation instructions to the letter, this product is a very sound investment to prolong the life of a very, very expensive product. I bought the pink/black case and I love it. Personally I don't think it makes my phone too bulky,yeah,there's some extra bulk to it,but not too much,but that's just me and everyone is different. All the ports are covered very well,no problems charging either. I don't use plug in earbuds but I did try some to see how well they fit and no problems with that either, I actually use Bluetooth headset. The fingerprint feature works perfectly. The case does feel smooth to touch but it doesn't slip out of your hands,really good grip to it. As far as drop protection,well it does its job because I'm a bit clumsy and I've dropped my phone multiple times from around 3 foot and it didn't hurt my precious iPhone 6 Plus at all. I mean,you spend that much on a phone then you want to make dang sure it's protected and protected well. I haven't gotten my phone soaking wet or dropped it in water but it did get rained on while I was walking to my truck from the grocery store and it didn't do any damage,I just dried it off and nothing else.
