2000 sqft Diamond Radiant Barrier Solar Attic Foil Reflective Insulation 4x500 1 Not effective Rayzo*** Really pooly performing product. I don't care about staples tearing through it or whatever, but it's just bad at blocking heat. Noticed when I draped it over my garage doors, I could feel more heat going through it than I felt like I should. Took out my IR thermometer to confirm and it was reading much warmer than I expected, nowhere near as good as plain kitchen foil, which I had whipped out to compare. That being said, it may not be this specific product's fault - I think metalized just performs worse than solid aluminum. I've had great luck with their other products and ultimately bought 3000 sqft of their 8 mil radiant barrier after doing a bunch of testing. But this stuff is just a waste of money. For further testing, I compared a bunch of radiant barrier samples from this company and AtticFoil over my stove on low. Kitchen ambient was 78 degrees. My IR gun reads around 400 when pointed directly at the burner. I put samples of these barriers on a rack maybe 9 inches over the stove and read the temperature from above. Note that I don't have a "reflective" setting so it's mostly reading a reflected temperature. But if it reads hot, it's a sign that the material's thermal reflectivity isn't very good. Most of the samples creepy very, very slowly into the low 80s before the scrim melted. I also had a space blanket and plain kitchen foil which performed similarly to the rest. The worst barrier other than this crept up into the high 80s before the scrim melted, maybe a minute in. Then there was this product, which read 90 within seconds and kept skyrocketing. I think it hit around 140 when the scrim started melting. Far worse than everything else. Note that that doesn't mean it has a higher melting temperature, it just has higher emissivity (which is inversely proportional to its lower reflectivity). Actual contact temperature would surely be hundreds higher. B01LYE0RLV US

Cuisinart TOB-135N Deluxe Convection Toaster Oven Broiler, Brushed Stainless, Silver 3 Waste of Money Initially - Updated for Good Customer Service Robert i*** Update: Review has been updated to three stars. I contacted Cuisinart customer service (aka Conair) and was surprisingly offered a replacement oven as my purchase was within a specific time window. They had me cut the power cable off the oven and send them a photo, after which they shipped a replacement. Their responsive customer service brought up my rating, but (1) it was a very defective product to begin with, and (2) the entire process of emails back and forth until I received the replacement took 16 days, during which I was without this oven. Fortunately, I invested in a Breville as a replacement (far, far superior product) so this one is now destined for charity. I purchased this oven in Jan 2023 to replace an old Cuisinart toaster oven which had given me very reliable service for over ten years and as I have several other Cuisinart products in my home. I find this particular product, however, to be absolutely terrible! Almost everything I bake or heat in it comes out burned. Using two separate and very reliable oven thermometers here are some results: At a setting of 400 degrees, the thermometers registered between 450 and 475. At a setting of 350 degrees they registered 375 to 425. At a setting of between 325 and 350, the oven completely burns parchment paper, which is oven safe to 425. And the worst, at a setting of 250 degrees the thermometers registered 375! Moreover, at the 250 setting, the oven stays in Preheat mode, never stopping to indicate it has reached the correct temperature while anything inside it burns to a crisp as it continues to heat. The oven is located in a well ventilated position on the kitchen counter and is unplugged after each use according to the instructions in the manual. (Although this is a ridiculous design as the clock has to be reset each time it is plugged back in.) After owning many Cuisinart products over they years, they have now lost a customer. My advice would be not to waste money on this product and buy a quality one (i.e., Breville), which I am now going to do. B01MCWS5C9 US
