ICECO GO20 Dual Zone 12V Refrigerator, Portable Fridge Freezer with SECOP Compressor, DC 12/24V, AC 100-240V, 0℉ to 50℉, Elec 4 Good but with flaws Josh*** 3 1/2 weeks into a road trip and it’s worked great EXCEPT for having to constantly check the plug in for the car. Several times we have found no power because the plug-in wont stay in. It wiggles itself out. We bought duct tape to help but it’s pretty much a massive pain in the arse to remember. We also keep a thermometer inside to keep an eye on how cool everything is staying. It’s always a few to several degrees warmer than it says. We keep the refrigerator side on 32 or 33 when it’s full to keep the temp around 34 or 35. All in all, it was a good investment with flaws. B089NLQ7SF US

Nueve&Five Electric Gooseneck Kettle with Thermometer, 1.0L Pour Over Hot Water Kettle for Coffee and Tea, 1000W, Auto Shutoff, Boil-Dry Protection, Matte Black 3 Is this kettle actually food-grade safe? Amazon C*** The listing for this kettle clearly states "the interior, lid, and spout are made of food-grade 304 stainless steel", ensuring it is "safe" for the consumer. HOWEVER, the listing did not state the thermometer probe or the metal tube, which is located inside the kettle, are made of that same food-grade 304 stainless steel. The photo in the listing does not show the tubing inside the kettle, which appears to me to have been done purposely. If that tubing and/or the thermometer probe are made of aluminum, this kettle is not safe as it is stated. Aluminum in cookware can be toxic to humans, and this kettle heats up to a boiling temperature. See the photos below where the inside tubing is shown. It is a different color and texture than the kettle's interior walls. B0F1MRHYHR US

FirstE Solar Powered Wireless Pool Thermometer with Large Backlit Display | Dual Digital Screen for Night Easy Read, 650FT Transmission Distance, IP68 Floating Temperature Gauge for Pool, Hot Tub, Spa 5 Works in a lake, too! Doug*** While primarily billed as a pool thermometer, it does say on the package it is for ponds as well. I was looking for a remote thermometer for monitoring the lake water temperature off the dock at my summer cottage. We have "forever" used a glass thermometer on a string hanging in the water that you have to walk down to the dock and pull out of the water to read. Enter the FirstE Solar Powered Wireless Pool Thermometer. The range is stated as being over 600 feet, which I needed as it is over 100 feet from the cabin to the dock. I bought this late in the season and tried it out the week in early October when we went to close up for the winter. Based on one week's use, this looks like it will fit my use very well. There is a loop on the floating sensor so it can be tethered to the dock and not float away. I compared the reading from this unit with our old glass thermometer and it matched. Up in the cabin the remote receiver always displayed the water temperature. I had charged the remote before using it and didn't have to recharge it during the week I had it in use. The remote charges easily with a USB-C cable, which is included. At night the water sensor lights up so the display can be read. We have no use for that as no one is swimming in the lake at night, but it might prove useful for finding the dock during a night arrival ... which we don't do very often. It could be nice if the light could be turned off. In short, it looks like I have a winner for the long wished-for remote lake water temperature monitoring at the cottage. B0F8C5QFYY US
KNINE OUTDOORS Infrared Thermometer Laser Temperature Gun, -58℉ to 1112℉, Single Laser Targeting, Distance to Spot Ratio 12:1 4 clarified somewhere Share internet with mu*** Having not used many of these IR guns before I initially thought it was not working properly because I assumed the laser circle that it projects onto the object you want to measure is at least approximately the area it's measuring the temperature of. However, that's not the case at all, the projected laser circle area is significantly offset from the measurement area, so just ignore the laser and point the larger lower hole at the object and it'll work fine. You can disable the misleading laser pattern by holding the mode button for a second or so. Really wish they would have clarified somewhere that the laser area is not the actual measuring area, very confusing! B00IJHVONI US
