Just look at the picture on these as see how the bottom of the covering sticks out.That is how they fit. I had to immediately change back to my old passive ear covers until I could order some that actually worked. Fortunately Amazon offers good alternatives with their usual fast delivery. The first pair I bought in 2019 for half the price of the 2026 version. The old version had uncomfortable ear pads so I opted buy some more comfortable pads for additional money. That made them feel more comfortable. Now I bought a new pair because that old pair recharge connection broke inside the housing and new one come with the same old uncomfortable ear pads and not only that they still have the old style usb jack and not the type C that you find on most devices made in the last five years. I did try Prohear's Bluetooth model, but found it not as effective as the 3M product, again ultra sensitive ear so may work fine for normal ears. That said they are a great company and I had no issue buying their Gel Pads for the 3M product. Very deep cups and no issue wearing it with in ear hearing aids, though I usually take them out. The volume of the headphones doesn't go high enough to cover out the sounds of the machinery. When he used them with without music, the noise canceling on the headphones is not good enough to cancel out the loud factory noises. He rated that part of the head phones poorly! comfortability of the headphones is good at first but they are not good for long term use (he works 12 hour shifts). He states the battery life is amazing though on these headphones. If you charge them to 100% they will last you more than 12 hours. I use my AR15 at an indoor range and need double protection (plugs and muffs), i can't scope my rifle the same anymore, and recoil knocks them around a little. But again I expected this. The sound in actually pretty dang incredible. In my house, I can hear every single movement including the air in the air ducts. It's pretty comfy too. For rifle shooting? Functionality, yes but it's really not that practical. It works, but it's a little difficult to fire scoped weapons, my AR15 has a red dot and magnifier, the red dot is fine, the magnifier is a little hard to work with because of eye relief, can't get my head low enough. Pistol and shotgun are perfect uses without any issues. I would recommend, but it's hard to say for sure. Each rifle may or may not work. Some may not have a single issue, some will. B0723CYHPZ US
3M WorkTunes 5 Well worth the money! McKenzie *** Bought the Bluetooth only version. Used this for about two weeks now. I’m working outside on various types of lawn and garden equipment. They really do a great job of filtering out noise (better without eye protection, such as sunglasses or safety glasses) and the audio quality is very good for being earmuffs and not actual headphones. One downfall I’ve noticed is when you are listening to music the more deeper the tones are, the more less likely it is to be picked up. Meaning, if you are listening to a rock song and it’s heavy guitar or drums, the quieter the sound will become. If it’s just vocals or soft instruments, the louder or more clarified the sound will come through. Also, superior battery life. The first week I’ve had them, I used them on average 4-6 hours a day. I still haven’t had to charge them as they haven’t gone dead. The Bluetooth connected almost instantly while pairing with my iPhone X. When you turn on the Worktunes, they connect within about a second. The comfort level is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. I have used several pairs of earmuffs for either shooting or working and these are by far the best! They form to your comfort level and are virtually unnoticeable. As there is only one button on the right muff, the operation is very simple and user friendly. Overall I’m very impressed with this product. I was a little hesitant at the cost of this product but after using it, it’s well worth it. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who works outdoors with any type of equipment that wants heating protection plus the benefits of listening to music. B001T7QJ9O US
