Jordan M. *** After purchasing a high quality, very thick 8x10 wool cable rug, I decided I shouldn't skimp on quality when it came to gripping and protecting the floor -- I chose the Movenot Pad based on the other positive reviews here on Amazon. On my hardwood floor, this pad definitely does the trick. It certainly keeps the rug from shifting or sliding *at all*. It works so well you might find it very difficult to move or adjust the rug on top of the pad once it's placed (at least with a heavy 8x10). The one minor disappointment I had with this rug pad, and a potentially misleading aspect you may derive from other reviews is that it provides some kind of meaningful cushioning underfoot. I can't speak to other sizes, but the 8x10 pad is super thin and has very little give. You may perceive a slight difference if your rug is an ultra thin flat woven piece and your floor is concrete, but it won't perceptibly increase comfort levels on most other rugs. So, if you want a high-quality, durable and effective rug pad/gripper to eliminate shifting, bunching and basically any movement at all, this is a good choice. I agree with another reviewer that the plastic wrap and sticker are difficult to get off. The rubber on the feet leaves a gray mark that shows easily on white surfaces. The smudge rubbed off my ceramic tile easily but not so for the white plastic accent piece at the end of the rod, so I have some gray smudges on the white decor. I liked the spring loaded feature, but the polished ceramic tile wall I installed it on is too slippery for the rubber ends to grip and it immediately slid down--I solved that by inserting a piece of non-slip rubber rug pad. Since the white decorative end has a large diameter and protrudes 1 1/2 inches, it does not accommodate a curtain ring all the way to the edge, hence the curtain cannot be brought all the way to the wall. I'd say there is about a 1/2 inch gap between the curtain and the wall. This is not a problem because we have a long shower arm. Otherwise, I would get a shower curtain clip that sticks to the wall and holds the curtain in place. B00GGOA6OE US

This is our mudroom and we are out and in with this door 50 times a day, depending on the day, so not moving the rug is important. The price is also great so if it does get ruined, we can replace it easily. The rug rolled out and lay flat right away, which is very different than my experience with rugs with a thicker pile. It smells like grass, no chemical or plastic smell. We use natural fibers as much as they are available.
