I ran a spare 15 amp 120v AC circuit off the the AC Panel, used a RIB01BDC dry contact input relay to control the 120v circuit, then connected the dry contacts RIB relay to a normal Honeywell Smart Thermostat for perfect temperature control by time of day, day of week. Extremely quiet, it is very difficult to know that the unit is on and working. Best thing is, the output is very warm but not too hot - very much like a central forced air furnace. ecobee Smart Thermostat 1 It just does whatever it wants dylan *** It just does whatever it wants, im here at 7 am and its just turned on the heat, for some reason it has decided to turn on the heat. Both smart recovery and follow me are disabled, the heat is set at 53, its now almost 70 in our house the bedroom is boiling and even though the heat schedule was set to maintain 60 its running and it will only stop if i turn the entire system off in the app, this was supposed to give me control and save me money but its literally just decided it will do as it pleases, were completely pissed waking up sweating for like the 8th day in a row. Changing the temperature has no impact at all, were very tech savvy but we definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND weve been gone for a week, has it just heen running the entire time from 8 am to god knows when, again we DO NOT RECOMMEND. There are 3 different access points, the app, the browser interface, and the thermostat itself, there is no continuity, if you update the app’s settings for smart recovery it remains on on the thermostat, if you change a setting in the browser it doesn’t change anywhere else and all 3 locations have different settings only accessible on its portal so you have to go to all 3 places, browser, app, and thermostat to update those settings and it still doesn’t seem to matter because my heat is set at 50 right now and it will not turn off even though my house is almost 70 this thermostat is a terrorist all we want is to be able to sleep. We will almost definitely be returning this, nest will not work with our system so we will maybe get some sort of honeywell or putting our old dumb thermostat back. Again we DO NOT RECOMMEND. After 45 minutes on hold thet hung up immediately on me. Im now back on hold. I will be documenting my entire experience with actual data to back up my claims. B08HRPDYTP US
