The dog seems to get the idea he isn’t welcome in the space but if he tries to get in, her certain can easily budge my door. Little disappointed. Ive had several Kenmore vacs over the years and the ONLY fault I can find with this one is the newly designed hard floor attachment. It has a flapper that can sometimes restrict suction. It's taken some getting used to by changing the way I move the attachment near crevices to grab cat litter and dust. You cannot use the old tools. The upholstery attachment is MAJORLY improved!! Much more power, great for getting cat hair off furniture and curtains. The suction adjustment lever was getting bumped down frequently but I solved that with a ponytail elastic holding it at full suction .
