As in, he would go in with the butt sticking out which results poop and pee outside of the litterbox. soooo, after few months of literally cleaning poop and pee OUTSIDE of the litterbox, I gave up using the Litter Robot LRII. Next, I thought hey! Modko has a new litterbox (the flip lid one), why not try that. Same result. My male cat sometimes pees with the butt facing out, and pee just spills out on the floor. So eventually... I changed back to this top entry one. No more cleaning pee and poop outside of the litterbox. I really like this one to be honest, only reason I changed it out was to try an automatic cleaning one (because I am lazy), and seems like it won't work out with my silly cat who can't pee inside the litterbox. POINT IS. this one is great, high walls, top entry really eliminates the problem. And my justification for paying so much? You are paying not just the function but the design.
