Thousand Words 5 Wonderful Book!! Great message for people of all ages!! Jennife*** As a teenager, I find that people are always trying to teach me important lessons for life. Whether it is a lecture or a simple pamphlet, it is not enough. Kids need to see or read about how it can ruin their lives. This book was definitely a great lesson within itself but also an entertaining story that left me wondering what would happen next. Throughout this book, I felt real connections with the characters that I hadn’t felt with many books that I had read in the past. Ashleigh is ready to head into her junior year in high school. Everything is looking great except for her boyfriend Kaleb, he’s going off to college and she won’t get to see him anymore. The book opens with the biggest party of the year hosted at Vonnie’s house. Ashleigh was really hoping that her boyfriend Kaleb would go with her so they could have more time together. Ashleigh is really sad he didn’t come to the party so the girls decide to cheer her up by having fun in the pool and drinking. They were all lounging around poolside listening to Ashleighs problems when Rachel suggests she sends a nude picture to Kaleb, so he would have something to take to college with him. Ashleigh puts off the idea until later in the night when she gets angry at everyone and storms out of the room. She strips off all her clothes and poses as sexy as she can and snaps the picture. She sends the picture and then goes to sleep. This is just the start of Ashleigh’s problems. The couple starts to fight after he goes off to college, they decide to break up because they are so fed up with each other. Ashleighs two best friends, Vonnie and Rachel, decide that the best solution to this problem would be to prank him at his parent's house by spraying shaving cream all over his windows. This only added fire to fire, he decided to send the photo to everyone on his contact list, most of whom go to Ashleigh’s high school. When Ashleigh finds out, she is mortified the whole school knows and she would never again feel comfortable knowing that everyone had seen her naked. Ashleigh’s principal calls her father and informs him that they have found out about the picture, this may not seem like a GIANT issue to most but Ashleigh’s father is the superintendent of the school district. This leads to people wanting him to resign as the superintendent. Ashleigh is sentenced to community service where she meets Mack. Throughout the book, Mack was the only person who stuck by her side the whole time. In fact, he never opened up the picture that was sent to him. I overall LOVED this book. Not only was it very entertaining it also sent an amazing message to young adults who may be struggling with a situation like this. However, I wasn’t exactly fond of the switching over from community service to the past. It could get confusing at times and I had to look back through the book to find out what time period it was. I felt a real connection to Ashleigh, not only did I feel her pain, I also wanted to be there to stand up for her. I think Jennifer Brown did an excellent job making a connection from the characters to the reader. Although I did get confused with the format from time to time I learned a ton from this book and I also had a real connection with the characters that I hadn't ever felt before. B000VSZEIO US

I had to switch back to a regular p-trap and figure out the piping again to get rid of the smell. The concept is good to save space but it doesn't push out the old water fast enough to get rid of the bad smells from washing your hands in the sink. Since this product comes in a pack of two, I’ve also used one in my bathroom sink when shaving my facial hair, and it was just as functions there, easily sealed and covered the entire drain while also catching most of the beard hairs when rinsing my razor off and just as easily allowing all the shaving cream to drain out without clogging the drain or puddling up at all. I’ve used it in my kitchen sink when cleaning dishes as well, and it does a great job at catching bits of food and preventing it from going down the drain and clogging the sink. Cleaning it up after using it in the kitchen sink was a bit more challenging, as I did eventually have to rinse it off to get the last tiny bits of food out of it, but that is a minor inconvenience considering that these drain covers are not designed for kitchen sink use or to catch bits of food. For decades I used Colgate shaving cream in cans, and of course they discontinued it. I tried all remaining products in cans and found a terrific follow-on -- Nivea Extra Moisturizing Shaving Foam, in the narrow blue cans.Used it for a few years. Of course Nivea stupidly and ridiculously discontinued it, leaving me once again to look for an alternative. Nivea continued production of all their other products but discontinued the one that *** I *** need. I can't use and don't understand shaving "gel." It makes no sense to me. Shaving "soaps" can't make a thick enough layer of cream on my skin and it takes too much time when I'm racing against the clock in the morning. So my only choice is canned shaving cream. I didn't like any of the alternatives. Either they are too thin or I can't stand the scent. Recently I settled on Barbasol Soothing Aloe, which shaves nicely and has a pretty good scent. Then I found this Medlin Medspa Shaving Cream and it's so inexpensive I ordered a case. I like it. The scent is nice, and it gives a pretty good shave. Although it says "Thick lather." Also, small point, but irritating non the less, if you are going to write a book set in America for God's sake have it edited by an American. 25 percent of the way through and I knew this author couldn't be American. Americans don't use "foam" cream to shave. We use shaving cream. We don't go to university. We go to college. There were others, but I won't bore you. FARMfood: Green Living with Chef Daniel Orr Paperback – September 15, 2009 5 Exceptional Cookbook C. Br*** Here is an excerpt from my review in the Bloomington, IN, Herald-Times newspaper. There is so much that is innovative about "FARMfood" that it's hard to know how to begin analyzing it, but since most people buy cookbooks for the recipes, that's as good a place as any to start. The more than 250 recipes in this book reflect Orr's professional training and experience, but also his travels around the world and exposure to different cuisines. Many chefs are adept at incorporating the spices and herbs of other lands into their cooking, but the author goes a giant step further: he takes these seasonings and combines them in mind-blowing, palate-pleasing fashion. Unlike some celebrity chef cookbooks, "FARMfood" does not exhibit a depraved indifference to human health. Missing are recipes calling for indiscriminate amounts of cream and butter. Indeed, many of the recipes are simply superbly seasoned collections of good-for-you ingredients, a large number of which will appeal to vegetarians and vegans. (Although there's plenty here for serious carnivores, as well.) While the recipes are exceptional, Orr has produced a book that pushes the boundaries of the definition of "cookbook." He has created a work that is part autobiography, photo-essay, natural history, and gardening guide. The author is also responsible for the beautiful photography. This is real food, shot without the hocus-pocus of modern food styling. There aren't any varnished pork chops, or shaving cream standing in for whipped cream here, simply pictures of food that the reader will want to eat. While some big-name food writers try to harangue their readers into eating locally, seasonally, and sustainably (think Alice Waters), Orr's book seduces the reader into wanting to eat this way. From photographs of chickens out on pasture to photos of fresh produce at area farmers' markets, to the close-up of a sliced heirloom tomato salad, the author offers reason after reason to eat what comes from the land around us. Seasoned with spices borrowed from abroad, "FARMfood" is nonetheless a quintessentially American product: brash and bold, it is a homegrown tour du force. Installation is pretty straight forward. You might get hung up on removing the old aerator. Mine wouldn't budge. I had to put so much force in, I thought I was going to break the sink or something. It did finally let go. You might think that your faucet just isn't compatible, but if you have a screen, it is. You just need to try a lot harder to unscrew the stock one. If it isn't brand new, it may have corroded itself in place, like mine was. Once you get the old aerator off, you just screw the new extender in it's place, and you're done. You probably don't need any additional adapters, unless you have a really weird faucet. I didn't realize how restrictive the old aerator was. Now when I turn on the water, I have a much stronger stream. It's nice for washing my face. It's so much better than splashing water on my face to get the shaving cream off. If you're even just interested in trying it, this is cheap, so it's not a big investment. They have a 30 day return policy, so you can get your $10 back if you don't like it. Honestly, I thought I might have been sent a faulty unit but proceeded to use it for my next game day (airsoft/paintball) just to be sure. Never fogged once! Consistent airflow that lasted ALL DAY and I even forgot to turn it off on the 2 hour ride home. ExFog guys are a good bunch and created a great product. If this isn't enough to convince you then the only other effective option is to DIY and source your own materials because the competition ain't it.
