The height of literally every bottle of shampoo, body wash, face wash, shaving cream, etc I own: between 7/7'8" and 8 1/4". Even the things that are 7 7/8" can't fit on the shelf, though, because to put them on the shelf you have to tilt them, and of course the diagonal dimension is longer than that. These are not unusually large bottles; they're the standard size marketed for a single person in the USA. I don't know if the manufacturers live in a place where everything comes in tiny, tiny bottles, or if they just never thought to go down to the store and see what size things actually are, but basically I can use the top shelf and the soap dish. The other compartment holds my 10" netbook, large notepad, microphone, and still has room for stuff like a bottle of water, deodorant, shaving cream, etc. The power cables for each laptop are kept in the 2 zip up compartments back where the handle base is. These zippers are also used to separate the bag from the rollaway unit which is another great feature, but I don't see the need to remove the bag. The wheels are super smooth, and most importantly the bag feels sturdy and stands up straight when fully loaded with stuff, which my other bag tended to lean forward when fully loaded. The front 2 pockets are great for cell phone and keys and has plenty of room as well as pen holders. It says it's "genuine cowhide leather" if you are wondering about leather quality. Norelco OneBlade hybrid electric trimmer and shaver, QP2520/70 4 Reliable; trusted brand. Good product. Easy to use. Mike*** I was thinking about either purchasing this item, or the MicroTouch. I did some research on here & watched review videos on YouTube. I chose & purchased this one because it had the option of being able to do both a dry or wet shave & could also use shaving cream or foam. Normally, I use a disposable 1-blade Bic and some foam, with a bowl of rinsing water. I usually shave every 2 days, but I let some stubble grow out so I had something to work with. I just got out of the shower and dried my face. It works well with a dry face, but although it trims the hair, I had to clean up the hair that had landed on the sink (and what landed on my arm too). My shave foam wasn't readily available, so in a pinch, I lathered up my hands with some bar soap & used it for a wet shave. I think that the wet shave had better results. I probably had a good 2 to 3 days worth of beard stubble on my face. As others said on here and YouTube, this has enough power to get the job done quickly. The only drawback is that I/you will have to use an old toothbrush to get the majority of the hairs off & out of the blade, and possibly eject and remove it for a rinse. Would most likely be good for maintaining a clean shaven face or a styled goatee/beard. Overall, it's a good product and you never really can go wrong with the Philips-Norelco brand. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the blade clean up. Aside from that, I would recommend this to a friend.
