I tried all the classic methods of remote control troubleshooting--pointing directly/indirectly, holding it at various distances including right up next to the camera, pressing the buttons with various pressures and durations, trying all sorts of new batteries, praying fervently, faux swearing violently ... nothing seems to work. It barely makes it past 2 hours. Touch screen is alright but if you are planning to draw on it, don't consider it. Not to mention there is no specific HP designed pencil for this laptop.
