I don't know if Steelseries made those keycaps taller on purpose, or it could be some quality control issues. The factory Apex 7 TKL's keycaps have a really smooth surface without a grainy feeling, and I like it. So I assume they would make the same texture with their PBT pudding keycaps. However, their PBT pudding keycaps is way more "coarse" that it would make your fingers feel uncomfortable touching the keycaps. Lots of different modes for lighting effects. There are a fair share of colors you can change it to but keep in mind that if you download the software for the keyboard you can finetune to whatever color you want. Screen supports pictures and GIFs. It can't be TOO big of a GIF but most work. (see video) I don't use a lot of lighting effects just the ones that react to keystrokes and I've only dropped to about 50% battery and I've been using it for a few weeks now! The quality is very nice especially for the price. I purchased mine open box and it was still brand-new. So, I'm super happy with that! I love typing with this keyboard and eventually I want to try one of the more expensive models from Redragon! Cons: To be honest, I really can't think of anything. Maybe the software? This keyboard looked nice and I decided to give it a try. IT WAS EXCELLENT. My coworkers like it because it isn’t as loud. The combination of Bluetooth, dongle, and USB connectivity make it very convenient (especially if you have to switch between computers frequently). Battery life is measured in days or weeks. RGB and stealth keys are a nice touch, but really I’m more interested in the switches. Great tactile feel, not too loud but a very satisfying sound, and replaceable. Honestly thought I would swap them for “higher end” ones but I was too happy with these. Software lets you assign macros and even mouse commands to keys, which save to the keyboard, not the PC. There really is no downside to this keyboard aside from being 10-key-less, which for a portable keyboard is a plus. I also really appreciate the volume knob on a portable keyboard. Overall love this keyboard, it is HEFTY (I love office supplies that can double as weapons in a pinch 😅) so there is no concern about it moving around if I don't want it to. Lighting can be customized, I set mine to only light momentarily when keys are pressed and changed to green only. There are so many options in sure I didn't go thru all of them but it will fit whatever you're looking for. My only issue and the reason I did not give 5 stars is the fact that I cannot make the lights be whatever color I want. It is set to a rainbow colors and all I can do is keep it on/off or have it move in different light shows. I also wish I could change the caps lock and num lock to be whatever color I want.
