Have several big area rugs but don’t feel the robots can deep vacuum like I want. Bought one year ago after I broke right shoulder. I am 79 years old. My daughter helped me set up first one. I set up second and have done all troubleshooting and adjusting of settings as needed. They clean very well and I find I like being able to mop/vacuum more often. Have a 73 lb, black, very hairy dog that sheds a lot. I do run over floors and areas robots cannot reach with a heavy duty Swiffer before running. I do this because I feel it is too much hair to ask of the robots to collect. My dog drools so I keep most settings on high with 2 passes. There is a lot of maintenance keeping robots clean. I probably clean them and replace parts more often than necessary. I clean dirty water reservoirs after each use as they can become smelly. Moping disks are washable and hold up very well. All parts hold up well. I have not had a cleaning part break. The robots are very dependable. I do not run them when I am not home as they can get trapped behind doors, under low cabinet or appliance edges. I love them! I do occasionally use a Hoover floor sanitizer machine on ceramic tile in kitchen, dining area, foyer and other entrance ways. Hope I never have to go back to moping by hand. I don’t use robots in bathrooms as there are too many small areas and robots seem to just go around in circles trying to cover all small areas. I have a lot of drugs that are the style and I really appreciate how thin they are because they are very easily Washable. And in my experience, they always lay back down properly when I’m done washing them. This particular rug has a texture with little rubber nubbies on the back of it. It’s really nice because you don’t have to get an extra rug liner to put underneath it to keep it from slipping. These types of rugs do a good job of staying put. So in these pictures, I just took it out of the package and so it still shows the creases because I literally just unfolded it about 10 minutes before I take a picture. There is a a little guide that comes with the rug that says: “Don’t fret about the creases. Just lay the rug flat for 24 hours and the creases will quickly smooth away as the rug regains its full thickness. It’s quite normal to detect a faint material odor when you first open the package. Rest assured it’ll fade away soon.” So I did not notice any kind of odor whatsoever. So that’s a non-issue anyway it’s far as my experience. This rug is a 5 x 7. A little bit small for being the main rug in a living room area or something, but it’s great for accent spaces. It fits really nicely in my foyer underneath the accent chair. I have ordered other things from this brand and I have been happy and satisfied with everything else that I’ve gotten from them. They seem to have good quality items and this is no exception. My home is cleaned every other week by a maid service and I supplement with two additional vacuums a week. My arsenal includes a bissell upright vac, a bissell crosswave, a dyson stick, 2 rumbas and formerly a bissell carpet cleaner (prob 15-20 years old) that just bit the dust. I don't play around with a dirty home! My problem lies in that when my fiance and his frenchie (female) moved it, my pomsky (male) began marking EVERYWHERE. A couch leg, a baseboard, a dining chair leg-, you name it, he christened it-- it has been killing me and I've been spot treating with highly rated urine eliminators but it is not deterring him. As I sit here writing this review, my home smells completely neutralized. It doesn't smell like cleaning products, but just fresh, neutral nothing. And I could not be happier. The bissell pet ultimate cleaner solution (that is not the official name, but something like that) I use in my crosswave is great and has more of a cleaning product smell to it, but I will be purchasing the Urine Eliminator for my rug shampoo needs from now on and use the other stuff in the crosswave for the wood flooring throughout rest of house. I saw they have a pet model of this product, I don't even want to think about what the fill tank would've captured if I'd upgraded. This works fantastic and at a lower price point. The directions were confusing, and it took a very long time to set up. I use the pet nozzle, as it was the biggest one. Because the dirty water catcher on that doesn’t hold much, I had to make a lot of runs to dump it out, but as I came back, it would be dripping all over the floor. That would be normal with anything as it has dirty water. This took a very long time and was a lot of arm strength to stuck up the juice, as it was settling into my carpet pad, I used the oxy liquid that came with it, and it started getting rid of the stain very quickly. I was impressed with that, but I didn’t know if it would be able to get everything up. With a lot of spraying and sucking up, my carpet looks great! Stupid me, though, with the amount of time that went into the small space, I could’ve just grabbed my big wet vac. Oh well. At least this was a test. There are a lot of parts that come apart while you’re cleaning, which is great because you can clean everything thoroughly… My only problem is that I hope I remember what goes with what, because there are no directions for all those parts. It works well, but lots of work.
