There are so many colors and shades that it makes a color-loving hippie like me blissfully happy. Having this much variety really opens up the possibilities for getting creative rather than having to settle for the closest basic color. The markers themselves are excellent. The paint flows smoothly, doesn't smudge, and I've had very good control over exactly where the color goes. I've used other paint pens where the brush tip changes shape almost as soon as you touch it to the surface, making fine work difficult. These tips hold their shape nicely and give me very good control right from the beginning. There really isn't much of a learning curve to using them. I've even been using these in an adult mandala coloring book and have been extremely impressed. They didn't bleed through the paper the way many ink markers do. I've often felt limited to colored pencils or crayons with these types of coloring books because of bleed-through, so having another very colorful option is exciting. I also love that these can be used on so many different types of surfaces, so I'm looking forward to experimenting with them well beyond coloring books. With 72 colors, I haven't even begun to explore everything in the box yet. Finally, the storage box converting into a stand is such a smart touch. It keeps this enormous selection organized while making all of the colors easy to see and reach while I'm working.
