Original PetSTEP folding pet ramp - Graphite 4 Sturdy ramp for large dog Loves2*** I bought the pet ramp for our female 3 yr old, 70lbs GSD, who had a recent procedure at the vet. I needed the ramp to be able to get our GSD into my Honda Pilot after the procedure. I’ll be honest, it took a few days of practice for me to get into the new routine of using the pet ramp. Our GSD was walking up and down the pet ramp with a few slices of provolone and lots of praise in a matter of minutes! I found the best point of entry into the SUV for our GSD with the pet ramp is the tailgate. The ramp has the best stability propped again the tailgate. After use, I fold the pet ramp and place the ramp into the back of the SUV. I’m 5’ tall and find the ramp fold in the middle of the ramp to be cumbersome and awkward to handle. The ramp is almost as tall as I am. To fold the ramp, I have to lay the ramp on the ground on its side, hold it with one hand to stabilize and stretch my other arm , grab the opposite side and fold. I’m vertically challenged, I get it, I make it work. This is an investment and I use the pet ramp daily with our GSD to get her in and out of my car for our daily drive to the neighborhood park. Long term, use of the pet ramp will only benefit our gsd to reduce wear and tear on her hips/joints. I would definitely recommend the pet ramp! It is sturdy, mobile, and ready to use out of the box. My only recommendation to the manufacturer is add built in braces on the underside of the fold of the ramp that lock in place and with a latch mechanism, similar to an ironing board. Again, I say, it’s an investment; the quality of materials and the ramp itself is worth the money. But, I should not have to pay extra money for small metal braces to keep the ramp open so it doesn’t fold on itself. DW8080 ProMaster Steam Iron 3 Take that silly lid off yourself smow*** I bought the Rowenta DW-8080 a couple months ago to replace a similar top-of-the-line Rowenta that had started leaking and spitting after about 5 years. The new iron steams to beat the band, which is, of course, why I bought it. But the overall design isn't nearly as nice as its predecessor's was. The settings on the dial are obscured by the handle. The "ready" light is impossible to see unless you bend down to its level. And the iron no longer has the "too hot" warning light that let you know it was safe to start ironing low-temp synthetics if you had started out with, say, a hot setting for your cottons. I hope somebody at Rowenta reads reviews next time they do a redesign! But the most annoying feature on the new iron is that big awkward flip-up lid that covers the water fill opening. It gets in the way for both filling and emptying, and solved a non-existent problem. When was the last time you had a problem with water spilling out of the top of your steam iron? I was pleased with myself today when I realized that the silly lid is easy to pop off its plastic hinge, never to return. Do this with a cold, empty iron on a solid table, not a wobbly ironing board. PROs: 1. Buying for the color is a silly reason, but hey, it now matches the decor very prettily in my sewing room. 2. The elastic drawstring and push stop is very nice and allows to really tighten the drawstring and give you a nice smooth taut surface to work on. 3. Wash-ability - I set a very old tape dispenser on the cover only to find that the very old rubber gribbers on the dispenser left huge black marks on the cover. I tried to wash out by hand, but it just smeared it worse. I then put the cover in the washing machine with cold water, delicate cycle, and it came out beautiful with no shrinkage. 4. Fit - fits ironing board as stated nicely, when pulled taut, but with little extra on the sides. CONS: 1. it is NOT slippery, so fabric sticks to it, making ironing a bit tougher. 2. I use it in my sewing room, so not only fabric, but tons of tiny bits of thread stick to it also. I now have to clean it with a lint roller. Unfortunately this isn't good enough to completely replace the traditional iron but it is a really useful tool. It's great for refreshing a shirt that isn't ready to be laundered but has a few wrinkles, and there are certain materials--like denim, textured fabrics, and some coats--that are better suited to steaming over ironing. Still, severely wrinkled shirts, pieces of clothing that have a strong crease from folding, or ones made of finer fabrics, will need a traditional iron in my experience. This particular unit/model also has some specific issues of its own. First, the capacity is rather small, even after filling it up to the "max" line i find that it only lasts 5-10 minutes before needing a refill, which given how much steam you need for a single piece of clothing isn't that much time. I also find that the steam nozzle tends to collect water droplets and occasionally sputter, making the brush attachment pretty much useless--you have to keep the nozzle quite a ways off the fabric to prevent it from just getting wet. Still, it heats up pretty fast and has its uses, so it's not a complete failure, just not exactly what I was hoping it would be. B07JB4P71D US
