However, the materials used to make this cover were not what I had hoped for. There is no water resistant coating on this cover - without it, the steam from the iron penetrates deep into the cover, the cover stained easily and quickly became dirty looking, and my iron didn't glide smoothly when I was ironing. To rearrange the clothes I was ironing took much more effort to pick up and reposition than I had to expend previously. I used my previous ironing board cover for years with the same iron that I'm currently using, and never experienced the issues that I experienced with this new cover. My wife has been using it for almost two months now and she loves it. It works great. My advise is as follows: please note that this iron is not a one charge, one load iron. It is a constant charge iron (you need to keep it charged all the time while ironing), still it provides you with great "freedom" - the way my wife described it - freedom from the cord. You place the charger on the ironing board and as you iron you rest the iron on the charger base everytime you turn your garment around for the next area to be ironed. M*** This is my second Eclipse “blackout” curtain. Shame on me. It’s just as bad as the first that I used to have in a different color. Eclipse curtains come wrinkled and stay wrinkled. Washing and tumble drying doesn’t help. Using an ironing board helps only very little. I knew to stay away from Eclipse, but I was tempted again because the chocolate brown color was exactly the color I wanted and I couldn’t find it elsewhere. Had Sun Zero had the same chocolate brown I would’ve bought Sun Zero. I also have a Sun Zero curtain and comparatively speaking it is practically wrinkle-free after simply tumbling in a warm dryer for a short time and its blackout capabilities are similarly just OK enough for my needs.
