1 Smelly cheap wood Thom*** I put it together. Use your common sense & lay every piece out first to organize yourself before screwing pieces together. The instructions are useless. It will eventually come together but the wood feels like I could snap it with my bare hands. Whatever they sprayed it with is very smelly/chemically & it wasn’t allowed to fully dry before they packed it in styrofoam which stuck to some pieces of wood. I left it outside to air out. It looks serviceable. Once it dries completely outside in the sun, I’m going to go over it with clear waterproofing polyurethane to help keep water off the wood otherwise I just know it will warp & discolor very quickly. 5 Not a green thumb but trying Yesenia*** I have killed cactus and succulents before but I still have a goal of having a garden. I figured I would start from scratch with seeds and see how I do… well, for a previous plant killer, I say I’m doing pretty well and I have to give credit where credit is due. This things is awesome! It has 12 seed spots so I went all in and 6/12 have sprouted. They’re not all doing amazing (need to move to LESS sunny spot cause it’s burning my little sprouts) but honestly, from killing live plants before to giving some life, I think that says something. 4 Manufacturing defects: Side slots for supports not cut and plug to hold water in box was miscut... M*** I was so excited to get this product. It came. I had just about finished putting it together when I couldn't get the plug (stops water coming out of the bottom of the planter) to go in. I looked and it had not been properly made and would never go into the opening (see plug picture). Then I went to put the cross supports for the box in and the slots were on the short sides and needed to be on the long sides. Called Keter and was advised they would send a new plug but they could not send a new box and I would have to ask Amazon to replace. I contacted Amazon and it was replaced. The replacement had the same two defects. I called Keter again and they said they would send another plug (2-3 week shipping) and I could try to open the side "slots" that had not been cut but showed where they should be. I used an EXACTO KNIFE (purchased thru Amazon, of course) and it was easy to cut the slots. I was able to put the cross supports in the slots I cut and a light hammering of the plug stopped the water from coming out. Hopefully, the new plug will be properly made and I will be able to replace the plug I had to force in. If only, I had been told to cut the side slots with an exacto knife. I have put plants into the assembled planter and AM NOW VERY HAPPY with it. (See picture of final product with plants in it. Please do not fault the planter for the few dead plants...I am not a gardener...yet!) B079SQRL46 US
