To add the dis in disfunction, in order to submit a support ticket through the app ... the app has to find the device. But since it lost it, and times out when trying to connect, well, it doesn't work. EDIT: Apparently my issue was not unique. The company issued a system-wide fix yesterday and despite losing the individualized info for the cats (which is questionable anyway for the Dockstation, lacking any way to ID said beasts) is back to full function. So I'm upping my review to 4 stars. Devices that are part of the Internet of Things need to WORK in order to not just be a hassle. My 13yro cat it took a couple of hours before she would drink out of it and she got the top of her head wet from the spout at first but she continues to drink out of it. Her old water bowl she would get pieces of food in it or it would get slime starting in it within about 4 days of filling the water container for it and she wouldn't drink out of it til we cleaned it. With this fountain it hasn't had these issues at all thus far! Our 3rd cat she is 7yrs old and it took her some time to use it but uses it fine so far. Got to give them time to adjust and remove their old water bowls so they don't have a choice but to try the fountain. I wouldn't put it up in the morning before going to work and leave them without water just incase, try it on a day you can introduce it to them and monitor them to see if they are drinking from it. I love that you can see the water level on the side too! I love the low trickle sound it makes. One cat is in our bedroom so at night its soothing to hear when its quite in the house.
