I never even considered a hot glue gun without a cord because my old hot glue guns always had cords. The other thing that caught my eye, the stand! The stands on my hot glue guns would always not work and cause the glue gun to fall down and I would just leave it on top of cardboard or something because I knew it would fall anyway. With this glue gun, the stand actually keeps the glue gun upright as long as the surface is flat and it feels pretty supportive and unlikely to just slip down like the glue guns I've had in the past. The nozzle seems a little narrower than the glue guns I am used to so the line of glue you are pushing out will be thinner and slower. This could be more helpful when doing detailed gluing but when you're trying to glue big projects fast it can slow you down. There is a light that turns on to indicate that the glue gun is ON and it took about 5 minutes for the glue gun to warm up enough to melt the glue sticks. The only thing I didn't like is that the labels on the glue gun seems to be paper and makes the overall feel of the glue gun cheap if that makes sense. For this price point I feel like they could've made it look better made. Compact, surprisingly small battery. Small rattle inside though RedAk*** This glue gun has been decent so far. It is light, compacts, and easy to store. The nozzle is pretty small to give you a thinner amount of glue which is perfect for small crafting. The glue gun is easy to hold. The trigger and spring push the glue through pretty well. The plastic part near the tip does get warm but nothing that sounds like it would damage the glue gun. The nozzle is still super hot though so be careful there. It does come with a stack of glue stick replacements. They seem to use the same standard glue sticks. It is easy to use. The small safety feature is you need to press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the device on. I would not say this heats up in 30 seconds. It take a little longer than that which I expected. It took about a minute to really get a good flow but 30 seconds it can be hot to the touch. It is easy to install the new glue stick. It presses through pretty well. The battery is surprisingly small. You can use this few at least an hour or so before the battery dies assuming youre using it continously. The heat does not reach the battery area. You can have this plugged into the wall to use. The type c cable is generic. There is no wallplug. It takes a few hour to charge. It only has one standard heat setting. Overall i think this does not exactly heat up in 30 seconds but it is close. It does a good job with pushing the glue out. The heat is well contained to keep it from damaging the electronics. It does not last as long as I want but its a small battery. The glue sticks are okay. The build quality is not bad but the material gets dirty easily. B0FHGS5HT5 US
