The tips get much smaller from there, so not for any slots larger than 10mm. The bits themselves are not magnetic. The bit holder socket has a strong magnet that magnetizes them very well. The bits are held tightly in the 2 rubberized storage blocks. It’s easy to remove a bit by pushing the bit holder socket’s male end into the bottom of the bit’s hole. There’s no holder for the bit holder socket though, and they came in a just cardboard box. I don’t think that they should state in the title that they come with a storage box when it’s only cardboard. A clear plastic clamshell box would have been more appropriate for safer and more durable storage together. These bits are well-machined and were still a good value at $14 for 26 assorted sizes. But each piece is numbered and the instructions are sufficient; it only took a few minutes to build. The resulting tower feels solid enough; it shouldn't tip over easily. Two of the dangling toys are on elastic; one is on string. I suspect the elastic will eventually be snapped by enthusiastic playing. The spring loaded ball and the ball on the string also have a faint rattle inside them. The captive balls in the base are held in and shouldn't escape but still allow easy access for play. All the wood feels smooth enough and it's just particle board, so there's little risk of splinters. The main concern I have is that this has exposed staples, and one of them sticks out a little. As the cats start to shred the rope there might be a chance of a nail catching. The grass looking base will definitely shed; just building it resulted in a small pile of loose pieces. It has the correct dimension to fit between our washing machine and the window where my cat can now happily watch the multitude of birds that visit our backyard. However, the dimensions of the shelves (based on shelf length on either side of the post) does not allow climbing to the various levels. The directions show pictures with different measurements that should allow for a step-like possibility from each tier, but what we received is different than what is shown in the assembly picture. Luckily, we have a window sill that our cat can use to get to the large tier shelf and we have the washing machine that she can jump to and then get to the floor. The one time we saw her try to jump from the large shelf (third-tier up), it was such a steep incline that she almost did a handstand somersault upon landing. It scared us enough that we used some cat treats to show her an alternate way down. In the first image, you can see the shorter side extension from the third tier is almost the same width as the second-tier shelf from the right side of the pole. I wish the tools included a second washer as we had to get very creative with the top part of our tree assembly. We still need to go back and correct it (as is viewable in one of the images), but it is stable for now. This was the best tree for the location that I could find, but even though we have a 90" ceiling height, the directions did not work as presented based on that dimension. We worked it out but have to go back and fix it (a project for next weekend). In the meantime, she is enjoying the hammock and being able to look outside from the second and third tier. B071CF3YD6 US

So, to appease the boys, I found this narrow cat tree and reviews were so-so. Acceptable enough that we’d try it. Luckily it’s lined up perfectly for the stud, otherwise, I think this thing would have ripped a hole and the cats cause enough damage to my walls as it is! So boys are happy, cats adapted and it was one more place to scratch and prayed it would stop the wall scratching (it didn’t, sigh) but cats love it and boys too. A day or two and we realized one support in a stud WAS NOT enough. We got an L shape and made another which improved the stability MASSIVELY! One of the 3 cats is my power kicker. He’s the one in the photos as he’s on this the most and I most certainly know he’s why it’s all tore up already because he has used this as it was intended. Barely 3 weeks since I put it up and it’s already needing some repair. I don’t understand why the lower poles were all sisal rope but this one piece had to have the carpet and there wasn’t a choice to not have it. The other poles are holding up but this definitely isn’t. I really feel If it were a solid sisal pole, it’d been fine. Also, if they’d market it with two supports, it would really boost my ratings but it gets docked based on stock use without modifications and advertisement of use. Technically it’s still in the return period but my kids would get PISSED if I pulled this so I gotta go buy a hot glue gun, sisal rope and a staple gun I think. I don’t know. I’m not crafty like that. I’ll likely burn myself but unless the manufacturer has another sisal pole they’d give me to replace that one, it’s what I gotta do. It held up INCREDIBLY well and confirmed our original review that this is a very well made cat tree. From some other reviews that wasn’t so favorable it appears they’re not following the install instructions. My suggestion is to make sure all brackets are used and each section of the tree is rotated to be snug tight. [2019 review] Cat tree itself is great. We checked that the nuts were tight and snug to the ceiling, but about six weeks in, we noticed one day that the top portion somehow got loose (perhaps from our two cats jumping in and out from the tree). Ended up adding one three-inch ‘L’ bracket to the top shelf, plus two drywall screws to the ceiling to hopefully hold the tree in place for good. Our cats love it :) B071CF3YD6 US

RPSI*** I was not very pleased with the product. The base is too small to provide proper stability - it is the exact same size as the two other landing shelves. It does bring an L bracket so the cat tree can be anchored to the wall but it’s kind of awkward to use since it sticks out from the tree itself and ruins the asthmatics. My cats seem to really like it as well. However, it loses a star because I find my cays struggling to land and climb efficiently on the platforms. I have already watched them fall off the highest platform twice and when coming down it seems that there is not enough room or space for them to put all four paws down,causing them to have to use their hind legs to spring off of the platform instead of climbing down. Since the cat tree is narrow, I feel that the platforms should've been a little bigger. But I have made all the platforms face diagonal so that it's easier for them to land but it's still not a solution. I may arrange the pieces like a lot of reviews have on here. My cats LOOOOOVE it! Since the tree comes with two hammocks and I have three cats, I contacted Roypet about getting another hammock. Even though they don't normally sell the hammocks separately, they graciously made arrangements for me to purchase an additional one and my cats no longer fight over the hammocks. Well, actually, the smallest kitty was always getting squished out by the bigger ones, but now she has her own. I love how the tree is in sections that can be screwed together because I was able to arrange it differently from how it is pictured. Since cats love to be up high, I placed all of the hammocks at the top and placed the shelves at lower sections. The kitties will come running from the hallway and race up the tree to hop into the hammocks at full speed with amazing agility! They are indoor cats and I think they are happier now that they have something to climb on and to claw. That's another terrific thing about the cat tree: they haven't clawed any of my books, furniture, etc since I bought the tree! I do strongly recommend using the supports included in the package because the tree itself is a bit wobbly without something anchoring it to the wall. Overall, I am extremely happy with the Roypet cat tree and I highly recommend getting it if you have cats. They will love you for it!
