Mom’N Pups Wooden Social Play Game | Cooperative Preschool Learning for Kids | Build Cooperation Focus and Attention | Ages 3 5 Adorable! Alys*** This game is so ridiculously cute. My husband and I love board games and now we have a three year old. When I saw this I had to grab it. This is such a good introduction board game for preschoolers. Such a simple concept but gives toddlers a chance to learn to take turns, count, reinforces colors, and is just a whole lot of fun to play together as a family. How cute are these puppies!? I love that they fit together with the mom, such a sweet bonus. Even the dice is cute. My son, of course, loves the cats on the board. Haha! The board itself is nice and thick and folds up small. The quality is exceptional on this game and it should hold up for a long time. B00EDBY7X8 US

MYTHS 4 is an examination of old Myths through the social-media savvy cynical eye that seems to embody the great snark of our generation Stephen T*** Myths is an interesting read. Took me about two and a half hours to read it, start to finish, so it isn't asking much of your time, your brain though... See, I divide the stories in this volume into two types, though even that is deceptive. The first type, probably the more humorous of the two, is an examination of old Myths through the social-media savvy cynical eye that seems to embody the great snark of our generation. It's funny; it's deviously subversive, and I think that it's here that Erika Price's role in the education system seems to light up. After the fundamentals, all education really boils down to using those fundamentals to explain increasingly complex phenomena, or describe new simulations, or analyze behavior, literature, and the like. It's all a building upon those early foundations of rational-thinking, problem solving, and math. So, we're taken back to school. These Myths are filled with archetypes and morals that have been driving civilizations for centuries, but we've learned so much, why not tell these old-old tales with a little flavor of the new. Certainly there's anachronisms, but are they really, or are they parallels, interchangeable nouns of non-importance? Criticism is perpetually obsessed with the things not-quite-right, which is fair, but sometimes an author does something clever, and it doesn't matter if they meant it or not, it's just sooooo pleasingly cleaver. For me, apparently clever things include Greek Deities playing decidedly modern board games, a narrator with absolutely no respect for Paris, and a rather touching love story about old Persephone mirrored directly with her mother's opinion of her willfully self-destructive relationship with the Lord of the Dead. These are all clever things, well written, worth the brain tugs and demands on both your vocabulary and analytical skills. And then there's the other kinds of Myths displayed in this volume. More original; more contemplative. Myths that, in example, steal the tale of Abraham and retcon a more palatable ending for our morals and modern understanding of our relationships to whatever gods we choose or choose not to believe in. But more than that, these are stories about a pact to never kill oneself, about two roommates trying to fulfill each other's lives, sweet legends that, like the Myths of old, teach little lessons about life, and Erika does it with a gentle hand, rather than the old Deus Ex Machina the Greeks loved so much. And it's the mix of the two that I think is the point. The recognition that we still need this kind of story-telling, that, though it may no longer be around roaring fires or in epic-verse, we still very much populate our mind with Myths. And for all I know, she never intended any of that, but it's pretty clever, and she deserves a great amount of credit for it. B0DJPVPDP7 US

Cokzer Remote Control Soccer Games, Foosball Table Game for Kids with 4 Remotes, 3 Balls, LED Scoreboard, Lights & Sound, Rechargeable RC Soccer Board Game for 1-4 Players Ages 6+ 5 Four Working Remotes Make This a Real Multiplayer Game Happy S*** This is a surprisingly elaborate RC soccer game. It comes with four actual working remote controls, so up to four people can control their own players rather than just taking turns. That makes it much more of a real multiplayer game. The field is nicely laid out with goals, an electronic scoreboard, lights and sound, and it includes three soccer balls. The rechargeable setup is also a plus considering how much is going on with it. At $99, this definitely isn't an inexpensive kids' toy, and at that price I expect everything to work properly. Fortunately, all four remotes work as they should, and the whole setup makes for a pretty impressive game. It's something kids can actually play together instead of another toy that gets interesting for five minutes and then gets forgotten. B008FD8ETS US

eeBoo: Bouncy Bees Board Game, Learn Colors Numbers and Shapes, Strategy Game for 2-4 Players, Screen-Free Fun, Kids Ages 3 and up 4 Fun game for 3 to 5 year olds Jon *** This is a fairly simple game featuring Colors, Shapes and Numbers as the primary method for collecting a set to win the game. You can collect a set of 6 cards in each category; Color, Shape, or Number. Once you have 6 cards in that category, you win. Now there are other rules about your bee tokens and how you collect the cards, or lose the cards, but you can also keep the game quite simple for the younger ones and just focus on the cards. The board is the same thickness as a standard Monopoly or Chutes and Ladders board. The printing is sharp with nice bright colors. the cards are a also nicely printed with rounded corners and large, easy to read letters. The coating on the cards and board makes the play smooth and easy to use, but durable to last for a while. Everything packs up nicely into the game box, which is also sturdy and should last a few years. Overall, this is a quality board game that is not only educational, but engaging as well. B0F29DYPQ2 US

6 Packs Large Toy Storage Bags,Reusable Clear PVC with Labels Waterproof Zipper Organizer for Board Games, Building Blocks,Puzzles,Kids Books,Travel (Multicolor-6Pack) 5 Great organizing set! S. K*** I grabbed this six-pack mainly to get a handle on the endless small toy chaos, loose blocks, puzzle pieces, random accessories, all scattered b/c the kid has ADHD. Being able to see straight through to what's inside without opening a single bag has changed cleanup time. No more guessing which bin has the Legos versus the puzzle pieces, it's all right there at a glance. The material feels sturdier than I expected going in. It's thick, doesn't feel like it's going to tear and it wipes clean easily when something inevitably gets sticky or dusty inside. The zippers glide smoothly without catching, and having two pulls on each bag makes opening and closing quick rather than fumbling with one small tab. The stitched handles feel secure too, I've loaded these up with a genuinely heavy pile of toys and hauled them across the house without any worry about the seams giving out. The little mesh pocket on the inside is perfect for getting smaller loose items like puzzle pieces or crayons so they don't just mix in with everything else in the main compartment. And these bags hold more than they look like they should from the outside, I kept underestimating how much I could pack into one before it actually filled up. Stacking them in a closet has turned a messy pile of boxes into a clean, uniform row, which is a small thing but makes a noticeable difference in how organized the whole space feels. And they're not just for toys either, I've already repurposed one for craft supplies and another for seasonal decorations, so the versatility here goes well beyond the original intended use. Overall, this set combines real durability with genuine organizational value, and being able to see exactly what's inside each bag at a glance has made a real dent in the daily toy chaos. It is well worth the price tag. Highly Recommend. B0FJBPH3SV US
Sanibel 5 Well Crafted and Thoughtful, Great Warm-Up Game, Quick to Learn, Quality Components, Strategy Aaron J*** There is strategy, stacking and placement puzzles, thinking ahead and planning your next 3 moves plus it is fun and can even be relaxing! Very well crafted and thoughtful. Physics, spatial reasoning, pattern matching, math, appreciation of nature, forward thinking all things you need to exercise when playing this game to some degree. This is fun for adults, but it could easily be an educational game experience for children. I have yet to play a 4 player game of this but my spouse and I have been enjoying this game. There is not much cutthroat, but you can get something so the other person can’t in there if you want to play that way. The game board, cards, pieces, and premise are all very well thought out. This game does indeed play quickly and should be a great game for having a bunch of people over for board games. This is a wonderful warm-up game as it is easy and quick to learn. You almost don’t have to explain all the rules, but even if you do, it does not take long. The quality of the construction is awesome. The included pouches are wonderful, everything fits in the box easily. There is not much variation or options in how it all plays out, but your strategy and goals make a difference. I think that with more people the more unpredictable it will get. I appreciate the mechanic of the wave refreshing shells on the beach and the sort of wild card crab sands. We tend to ignore them as we build our bag, but have used them to great effect at the end of the game to get the pieces I needed at the very end. In short, I really like this game. It is a worthwhile addition to my board game collection, especially with how easy it is to play. B083YKSNN8 US

Luxury Floating Mahjong Table for Pool,31.5" EVA Foam Pool Float Board Game Tray with Cup Holders & Tile Slots, American Mahjong Summer Party Supplies (Orchid Bloom Series)(Rose Pink) 5 Mahjong, Sunshine, and Pool Time—What Could Be Better? FollyBe*** This floating Mahjong table is such a fun way to take the game into the pool! The Rose Pink Orchid Bloom design is beautiful. The foam is thick and sturdy, and the built-in tile slots and cup holders are thoughtful features that make playing much easier while floating. It works well with my Mahjong tiles, which I have now learned actually float, something I probably should have known before playing in a pool! My only downside is storage. Because of its large 31.5-inch size and rigid construction, it can be a little awkward to store if you don't have plenty of extra space, but not enough of a problem to knock off a star. Other than that, this is perfect for anyone who is addicted to Mahjong and wants to enjoy some sunshine at the same time. Such a fun addition to pool days! B0GYMHY2YB US

Hasbro Gaming Crossfire Game | Indoor Active Game for Kids and Teens | 2 Blasters, Marbles, Arena | Fun Family Board Games | 2 Players | 10 Mins. | Ages 7+ 3 Not the same as before. Alan *** Not the same as the original, it's smaller, bigger balls and only came with 18 balls. Balls seem to shoot out slower than I remember. Just watching the kids play, the lack of balls makes a huge difference, it's no longer rapid fire, it's shoot 3-4, load in 3-4, shoot those. Waiting for the other side to run out is definitely a tactic my kids figured out quickly. I do like how it is portable and self contained, but it's not the rapid fire game I remember. I will say, the kids did have fun playing it. But the old one was much better. B0GDZGBRML US

This is a fun little game that makes me think of some of the older games like mousetrap that were all mechanical, not electronic. Goliath Sequence Queens | Classic Strategy Board Game with a Royal Twist 3 Game with an Agenda Nurse*** We ordered the Sequence Queens Classic Strategy Board Game. We are familiar with, own, and love the original Sequence game, so we thought this would be cool to try. Classic Sequence is an excellent game of strategy and it is easy to learn and is great family fun. We love the original game. However, this one comes with a few key differences that are important to note. The game board is large and comes folded up. The board has an appealing print on it in pale blue florals and shows certain colorful characters on the board such as knights and ladies. We did find the game board harder to look at than the original board. For whatever reason, it was eye-fatiguing due to the pale blue outline of the cards on the board. The game pieces are the real stars. Instead of the classic primary color chips, the pieces are clear gems tinted pink, blue, and green. They are eye-catching and make it fun to mark the spot that coordinates with the cards in your hand. Likewise, the cards were colorful and interesting. More on that in a minute. The game can be played two ways with the addition of a “queens court” version and a special tiara shaped additional game board. We chose to opt for classic game rules and the only difference from the original is that one-eyed queens and two-eyed queens replace the jacks of the same in the original version. However, this is a modern game and some of the “queens” were dressed up male figures complete with makeup, tiaras, gems, and long, painted nails. I don’t find this version friendly to every family due to the lifestyle and political agenda portrayed on some cards. Some would call this inclusion. Some will find this offensive. This is a polarizing issue that has now found its way into a once neutral territory of family games and I just don’t see the value of that. B0H2ML7W1D US
Montessori Wooden Board Game for Kids 3-6, 3 in 1 Classic Ball Drop Game | Color Stick Balance & Matching Educational Toy, Fine Motor Skill Training, Family Travel Game, Birthday Gift for Boys & Girls 4 Fun Game, Just Watch the Small Balls. mic*** I originally got this for my nephew’s 3rd birthday, but he still likes to put things in his mouth sometimes. Because the little balls are pretty small, I personally didn’t feel comfortable giving it to him yet, so I let my 6-year-old daughter keep it instead. She actually really enjoys it! She plays with it a lot like the game Ker-Plunk, and it’s been a fun little game for her. I like that it keeps her entertained while also helping strengthen her fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The wooden pieces seem nice and the game is pretty easy to figure out. I also like that it comes with a little storage bag so all the pieces have somewhere to go when we’re finished. I do think this would make a really cute gift for a toddler or preschooler, but if you have a little one who still puts things in their mouth, I would personally wait on this one because of the small balls. I’m not sure whether they are small enough to actually be swallowed, but I wasn’t willing to take the chance with my nephew. Overall, it’s a cute, fun game and my 6-year-old has definitely gotten some use out of it! B0GD8F2XYX US

It will take a lot of practice to get it back to the exact pattern that it came in. Each turn needs to be precise for the tunnels to line up exactly so the steel ball bearing rolls through. Over the Door Craft Organizer with 5 Removable Storage Bags, Hanging Storage Organizer for Art Supplies, School Supplies, Worksheets, Activity Books & Homeschool Essentials 5 Redneck Reviews - storage Chr*** Overview: This beige over-the-door organizer turns the back of a door into useful storage space with five removable bags for craft supplies, school materials, puzzles, board games, and other odds and ends. It’s a handy way to organize a classroom, craft room, playroom, or home office without adding another shelf or cabinet. Impression: The removable bags are what make this organizer especially useful. Instead of digging through pockets while everything is still hanging on the door, you can grab the entire section you need, use the supplies, and put it back when you’re finished. The neutral beige color also keeps it from looking too busy. Around my house, I’d carefully designate one bag for art supplies, one for puzzles, and one for school stuff. Within a week, every bag would contain at least one marker without a cap and a game piece nobody can identify. Highlights: * Five removable storage bags * Hangs conveniently behind a door * Great for art and craft supplies * Useful for puzzles, board games, and school materials * Frees up shelf and floor space * Neutral beige design * Removable sections make supplies easier to grab and return Bottom Line: This is a smart storage solution when you need more organization but don’t have room for another piece of furniture. The five removable bags provide plenty of sorting options, and using otherwise wasted door space is a great idea—even if maintaining the carefully planned categories ultimately depends on everybody actually putting things back where they belong. Bezzerwizzer LEGO Ninjago Board Game: Destiny’s Bounty Adventures - Cooperative Adventure Game with Exclusive Minifigures, Ages 8+, 2-4 Players, 30 Minute Playtime 5 Easy to understand cooperative game for a younger audience. TripleL*** This review is for the LEGO Ninjago cooperative board game. The game comes with some assembly which seems to be aligned with being a LEGO board game. Little boxes will hold the game pieces and each set of character items for the four characters. The 124 lego pieces are all jumbled together and you'll need to spend 20 or so minutes following the guide to put them into the correct boxes. Once you have everything organized the game itself sets up pretty quickly with a two sided board for 2-3 players or 4 players. Six adventures with varying levels of difficulty can be selected and adjust what you need to win as well as other factors. Each player takes their turn by first revealing an event card that will either add more villains to the board, advance those villains, or place mastery tokens. When all event cards are taken the adventure will advance adding new challenges. Next players will move around the ship to either gain mastery tokens or fight villains. Fighting villains or gaining mastery tokens will move you towards victory. As you advance to victory you will be able to upgrade your Ninjas to help advance towards victory. A nice simple game for a younger audience with the fun of building LEGO characters mixed in. B0GVKF6KKJ US
SitYOUations – Social Skills Board Game for Kids & Families | Character Building Game with Real-Life Situations | SEL Counseling & Therapy Game for Classroom, Groups & Family Game Night 5 Phenomenal SEL Resource—Engaging, Adaptable, and Gets Kids Talking! J*** I am incredibly impressed with SitYOUations by Therapy U. Finding a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) tool that balances genuine therapeutic value with gameplay that kids actually enjoy can be a major challenge, but this board game hits the nail on the head. It is a brilliant addition to family game nights, classrooms, and therapy sessions alike. The content variety is outstanding. It features 120 cards with 360 real-life scenarios broken down into three distinct progression levels. The dilemmas are highly relatable and modern, touching on real-life social situations, home dynamics, and school challenges that kids encounter daily. Instead of lecturing, it naturally sparks discussions that challenge players to practice empathy, understand diverse perspectives, and voice their choices constructively. The actual game mechanics keep everything fun and interactive. Rather than just being a stack of flashcards, players move physical pieces around the board and trigger "Power-Up" twists that keep kids engaged from start to finish. It accommodates 2 to 4 players and offers three incredibly useful, flexible game modes: Classic, Lightning (perfect for tighter time blocks), and Moderator Mode (ideal for structured lessons or counseling groups). The component quality is fantastic, featuring a clean, inviting board layout and durable cards built to withstand frequent group handling. Whether you are looking for school counselor office must-haves, speech therapy materials, or simply a screen-free way to build character and deep connection at the kitchen table, this game is worth every penny. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make social skill-building fun and effortless! B0FRM8GT27 US

2-Pack Collapsible Letter Storage Bins with Lid, Grey | Office files & board games | Faux leather handles & label window | Dust-proof | Includes labels & glue dots 4 Fancy fabric storage bins with construction flaws that don’t match their fancy price. SErr*** I grabbed the biggest size of these grey storage bins (about 16 x 12 x 12 inches) to tackle my recent move. Since I was downsizing to a tiny bedroom and office, I had to say goodbye to my trusty metal filing cabinets and wanted something that looked nice and made file access easy later on. When packing last-minute essentials right up to moving day, these bins ended up hauling my heavy dressing table stuff—shoe polish kits, daily wallets, and a mountain of cosmetics bags—planning to sort everything out once I settled in. Material & Functional Details >> Style Points: The textured grey linen cover (they call it linen, but honestly, it looks more like plain grey tweed to me) looks super fancy, especially paired with the stitched warm brown leather handles. >> Easy Peasy Assembly: These bins arrived flat-packed, with all parts tucked inside one of the lids. They put together just like those famous Ikea fabric cubes—you know, the ones everyone has but pretends they don’t—and technically fit inside those or any of the many knockoffs. Each bin includes a stiff, flat fabric insert that fits snugly at the bottom to keep the shape and add some firmness to the otherwise floppy fabric. These inserts have little tabs so you can yank them out easily when you want to fold the bins flat for storage. The lids also collapse and sort of fit over the top... >> The Lid Letdown: After about a month of moving and daily use, I’m convinced these lids are way too shallow. They don’t stay put at all and start to sag under the weight of another bin stacked on top—or anything else piled up. Check out my photos to see how the lids have warped and collapsed like sad pancakes. >> Rain, Rain, Go Away: Mother Nature wasn’t kind on moving day—pouring down so hard these fabric-covered boxes turned into soggy, floppy disasters. The inner core is made of paperboard, not plastic or anything waterproof, so the sides warped and collapsed when wet. Luckily, they mostly bounced back after drying, but the lids stayed all misshapen and stacking safely is a no-go. >> Label Woes: The bins have waterproof clear plastic windows with reinforced borders for the included labels. The seller threw in bonus stickers and glue dots, but no clue how you’re supposed to use them. Plus, the labels are a bit too long for the windows, so you’ll have to trim or fold them like origami to make them fit. >> Size Matters: These bins are perfectly sized to hold standard filing gear, fitting A4 and B4 folders (10" x 14") with outer dimensions of 12" wide by 16" long. If you’re filing papers, I’d say stick them in cube shelves instead of stacking because they’re a bit wobbly. Don’t even think about lifting a full bin by the handles—paper’s heavy, and you’ll probably rip the bottom or snap the handles. Better to cradle the whole thing like a fragile baby. Bottom Line These bins are a bit pricier, but look way classier than your average storage cubes from your local dollar store—definitely a step up in style and size, and that comes with the added cost. But with their delicate paperboard core and floppy lids, they’re best saved for light stuff like craft supplies, toys, or static file storage—and keep them far away from any hint of humidity! Montessori Wooden Board Game for Kids 3-6, 3 in 1 Classic Ball Drop Game | Color Stick Balance & Matching Educational Toy, Fine Motor Skill Training, Family Travel Game, Birthday Gift for Boys & Girls 5 Fun Kerplunk-style game. ig*** This is basically a variation on Kerplunk, and I ordered it because it looked like a good fit for family game night. The biggest difference from Kerplunk is the setup. The wooden dowels don't flex and they're a little thick, so you can really only run them straight across or maybe 1 position up, down, or over. Any irregularity in how you place them makes it harder to thread the rest, because when they bump into each other they don't flex around each other the way thin plastic sticks do. It seems like setup takes longer than the actual game does. The other difference is that you roll a die to determine which color dowel you have to remove. That limits your choices and raises the stakes of any single turn. For smaller children, the color matching and strategy add an educational angle. It doesn't necessarily make the game more or less fun, but it does speed up how long someone spends staring at the pile trying to decide which stick to pull. All the pieces are wood and they're all pretty well-made. I played this with my family several times. Age 3 might not have the attention span to get through a whole game, but older kids did well with it. It packs up well, but it's also a little bulky. Expect it to take up about the space of an adult size tennis shoe. At $24.99, this is worth the premium over a flimsy plastic Kerplunk set if you like the feel of wooden games and you want something easier to keep all together instead of tracking a pile of loose marbles and sticks in a flimsy cardboard box. That said, the wood makes it heavier, so there's a tradeoff between weight and packability.
