This machine works well, heats up really quickly, and the water/coffee comes out boiling hot of the main part, with the steamer steam/water not *as* hot (which is honestly a perk for me because I am clumsy). I do like that it comes with a water tank as well, and that it's pretty small - smaller than our current coffee pot (which is a double maker, pot + single cup). I like that you can use any ol' fine ground coffee, something I didn't know. I now have to play around with it and try recipes and combinations. I got this because I had always been excited over the idea of being able to make my own "coffee shop" coffee at home - and now have to figure out if this is "for me", since it does feel a bit messier and more time consuming that just making a super strong pot of coffee that I can make last all week. However, I do see benefits of using it even for just hot water for tea - it's SO MUCH FASTER than heating up water through our single-serve coffee maker or with a traditional teapot (I have never used an electric kettle to compare that speed though). This machine makes super hot water in roughly a minute from the first turn on, but in less than 30 seconds if you're making more than one cup back to back. But the one thing I'm not too keen on is that I can't put a taller mug in it - it has to be shorter than a traditional coffee cup, or it just doesn't fit. B0H6MVZVDQ US

Before taking it in, I've used it several times at home with my single-cup pour-over coffee maker, and it works perfectly for that purpose. The biggest thing to be aware of is that it takes significantly longer to boil water than a standard electric kettle. However, I think that is a reasonable tradeoff since the main advantage of this kettle is its portability. It's compact enough to take to the office or travel with while still being quite versatile. The kettle comes with a removable tea infuser, carrying bag, detachable power cord, and a small cleaning "brush." I use that term loosely because the cleaning tool is basically a cheap piece of plastic with a low-end sponge attached. Fortunately, the kettle itself feels much more durable and well made. The digital display is very bright and easy to read. Once the water reaches the selected temperature, the kettle gives a single beep that is noticeable without being annoying. You can also drink directly from the kettle, and if you leave it plugged in, the keep-warm function can maintain the temperature of your drink throughout the day. My other complaint is the instructions. The English translation could definitely use some work, as portions are written in broken English. Fortunately, this isn't an overly complicated product, so it's still fairly easy to figure out what they are trying to communicate. Overall, this is a convenient little kettle for the office, travel, tea, oatmeal, or even pour-over coffee. Just don't expect it to heat water as quickly as a full-size electric kettle.
