The pillow easily flaps over the back if you don’t want to use it. The color scheme is very pleasing to the eye, and the overall construction is excellent. Unfortunately, as you can see in the pictures, the wood on the armrests is molding on the edges. These are outdoor chairs that are meant to be used on the beach so if they can’t handle wet weather, that is a problem. I’ve had these ones around my fire pit (we haven’t used the fire pit since we got the chairs so it’s not an issue of heating and cooling). The only water they’ve been exposed to is rain and it hasn’t been all that rainy this summer. We haven’t had any hail or extreme weather while they’ve been outside. It is a good size for a ball pit! I really liked the fact that there is a canopy so we keep the sun off our heads and can save our skin from burns. The first one went together easier than the second. They are sturdy, solid, fairly comfortable, look good from a distance. The final braces on both pieces are not cut to the correct angle and the screws really don’t go in. I would suggest for someone else pre-drilling holes for the corner braces, but they still won’t have the proper angle. The biggest problem is all the nicks, rough wood that should have been sanded and stain and sealant put on. The photos only show half of what was wrong. These will be sitting outside in the weather and are supposed to have weather resistant seal, but there’s no way these will last 2 years, maybe not even a year. But they are for a cabin and were cheap. To return them, I would have had to try to rebox them, haul them to the city 2.5 hrs away, and try my luck with a different bench, which could have its own flaws. If you aren’t needing them to be perfect, and can possibly sand and re-stain them in a year, they will be good. On one cover, the drawstring toggle is centered on the front, but on the second cover, it’s placed on the side. It makes putting them on feel a little goofy because you have to double-check which side is the front every single time. It doesn't affect how well they keep the chairs dry, but it is an odd manufacturing mistake. Still, for keeping our patio rockers protected from rain, they get the job done! Sgt F*** O ordered this fire pit for times when a bonfire is too much but smores are a necessity. The fire pit came well packed with a carrying bag. It was a no-brainer to set it up. To test, I broke some dry twigs to fit inside and lit it on fire. It quickly heated up and burnt well. The problem is that it's not even low-smoke, let alone smokeless. When it burned hot, the top row of air holes did fire up but there was still lots of smoke escaping. Oh, the heat shield that was supposed to protect the table suffered damage after just one burn.
