Scosche PCA2 Universal Cassette Adapter for iPod and MP3 players 1 Arsvita vs Scosche vs Elook vs UE Wonderboom 2 ju*** I have and old car with no AUX, USB or Bluetooth. A long commute to and from my three jobs, with soul-crushing traffic. basically, I'm always on the road, spend a lot of time in my car and in traffic. And radio sucks! I just hate the radio! I actually haven't listened to radio in about 7 years or more and I will not start now. Arsvita and Elook are the exact same thing. Same parts, manufacturer and product; just by different names. I tested the "upgraded" version of Arsvita whit the nylon cable, and the conventional Elook which is the same as the original Arsvita. Same cable and jack. Scosche is the only one slightly different built and actually different manufacturer. I tested them all at once following the proper instructions. They all sucked and performed and sounded terrible. As soon as you put them in the cassette player they make this terrible static and grinding noise. Even without the phone/player plugged in, just on it's own while nothings playing (of course I adjusted the volume on the car's radio end and my player's end. Still sounds terible) the static sound comes from the radio just being on with a cassette that's not really a cassette and the grinding noise comes from the cassette adapter "turning" the "tape" which of course there isn't any because the adapter is just tricking the car into think it's a cassette so you can use your AUX with it. The sound is terrible and annoying. And if you want to drown the sound, making either end (the radio or phone/player) just makes the static, grinding and feedback noise louder too! The best overall was the Arsvita with the upgraded audio jack plug and nylon cable (the nylon helps cancel out the static and feedback noise that occur when the cable moves or brushes against something, which often.) The second best was the Elook, same as the conventional Arsvita. The audio cable broke after a few weeks and after that I had to wiggle it to hear my music. It would cut in and out has the cable moved, like an old broken charging cable you have to fidget with to make work. Basically it was useless at that point. Lastly the Scosche wouldn't even be recognized by the radio at fist. After messing with it and flipping it it until it worked, the audio quality was around the same as the conventional Arsvita/Elook with less grinding noise but same amount of static/feedback noise. But it always took a few tries to make the radio recognize it as a cassette. It took a few flips for it to start playing. Conclusion: I bough a wireless Bluetooth speaker. The Wonderboom 2 (by Ultimate Ears/Logitech) is the speaker I chose after looking at a few Bose, JBL, Beats, Sony and Apple options. The Wonderboom 2 is $100 ($75 or less now) but it has lasted 2 years now and it's going strong. It's the best option I could find for sound in my car that's not the radio. I put it in my cupholder or center console or the little cubi space under the radio/AC controls and the sound fills up the whole car. It's surprisingly loud yet clear and crisp. It has 360 degree sound and it has an even louder "outdoor mode" option. No feedback, static or any other noise. No bluetooth lag. It connects, pairs and starts playing instantaneously. you can pause/play, skip or go back, volume up and down all in the speaker. Water, dust and shock proof. and the best part: it has 13 hours of battery life and takes 2.5 hours to charge completely. I just charge it with my USB car charger while the speaker is still playing on my cupholder. The music and podcast never stop! In addition I can take the speaker out and give it other uses, like when I'm working on the car I just put it on top of the car and I can listen to whatever I want as I'm doing oil changes, rotating tires and messing with the car. It's also on whenever the car's off like when I'm in traffic, drive-thru, waiting for the train to pass or putting gas. All in all I have a way better experience with music, podcast or any other audio than with a cassette aux adapter. I'm never going back TL;DR: All the cassette aux adapters sucked so I bought a wireless bluetooth speaker instead which worked flawlessly! It has a lot more features than what I explained here, check it out and judge for yourself: https://www.amazon.com/ULTIMATE-EARS-WONDERBOOM-Deep-Space/dp/B07NFPGNWD/ref=sr_1_4?crid=15DRMEZH3AIJI&keywords=ue%2Bwonderboom%2B2&qid=1659429514&s=electronics&sprefix=ue%2Bwonderboom%2B2%2Celectronics%2C151&sr=1-4&th=1 B002HWRJBM US
Logitech Wireless Performance Mouse MX for PC and Mac 4 A good mouse for the price Andre*** I've had this mouse for about a week and it has worked well so far on my desktop. One of the selling points is being able to charge the mouse while using it, this is technically true, but the charging cable that comes with the mouse is a little too short to practically use the mouse while charging. That said, it hasn't caused a problem for me yet, I charged the battery to full before using it the first time, and I haven't had to charge it since. Tracking was laggy when I first plugged the reciever into the back of my tower, but moving it to the front into line-of-sight resolved that issue. It has tracked well on a number of surfaces since, including glass and shiny black surfaces that gave me trouble with other mice. The mouse itself is fairly large and fits comfortably in my hands. The programmable thumb buttons are also comfortable and easy to reach and being able to toggle between rapid and line by line scroll, as well as a horizontal scroll, is a nice feature. Overall a good mouse for the price. B0038ZYFNM US

PlayStation Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Bundle 2 Sony's Retarded Child Born From Apple Ipod Touch's Mother Gaia Roc*** It is apparent to me that Sony has taken a lot of notes from Apple's Ipod Touch, and other Apple products in general. This is not always for the best, however. The first negative aspect I encountered was with the navigating the menus. You cannot use any buttons. It is all touch-screen and the PS Button (sound familiar?). Secondly, the features in the video player. You have to tap the screen to make a 4:3 video full-screen, and it only zooms into the video and not stretch it (same with the Ipod Touch). The problem here is that the Ipod Touch has a 3:2 Aspect Ratio and zooming into a 4:3 video would not cut off HALF the video. Why would they remove great features that the PSP and PS3 had, instead of adding onto it? It's simply idiotic. Sony wants to be the new Apple, and by making an Ipod Touch with the addition of a PS3 controller's inputs they think they can succeed. The problem with this is that the console is made out of crappy plastic and is super fragile, unlike Apple's stuff. The analog sticks aren't precise and are terrible with FPS in my experience. Also, while playing Uncharted, I felt like I moving the analog sticks up to go down and down to go up because of how awkward it is to grip the handheld and use the analog sticks. This can be remedied with a grip attachment, though. With the newest update, the PS Button's blue light has been turned on at all times. I think they did this to remedy the fact that people probably couldn't figure out how to get out of sleep-mode and other situations, since all the other buttons don't work out of game. Similarities to the Ipod Touch: 1. Only the power button, volume buttons, and touch-screen work out-of-game. 2. Tapping the power button goes into a lock-screen and holding it pops up the option to shut down or cancel, which you have to choose using the touch-screen. 3. The USB cable is the only charging cable. 4. Video player can only do what the Ipod can do. 5. Menus are laid out the same way. 6. More stuff. I don't even care to list anymore stuff since it might give some readers heart attacks. Edit: Oh yeah and how could I forget the Content Manager. 10x worse than iTunes. Also when cropping larger images to be used as a background or start menu screen, the edges become jagged. You will have to use a program like Photoshop to crop your images beforehand unless you like looking at crap (well you already are, so not like the extra crap will make a difference.) B007AQF0WK US

Sony DVPFX980 9-Inch Screen DVD Portable 4 Nice little player. Ripp*** I looked at a bunch of portable DVD players before ordering this one. I was close to buying the older 7" Sony with dual headphone ports, but reviewers noted that you couldn't charge and use the player at the same time, so I spent the extra cash and got this newer model. First, the cons: The AC charging cable for indoors is only about 3 feet long, far too short for any reasonable indoor viewing and charging. The touch-sensitive buttons can be tough to work with while riding in a car because you don't get that tactile feedback of a button press. And the device itself is poorly weighted. If you set it on the floor and open the clamshell, if the screen is at an angle any larger than 90° the player will rock back and lift the base off the ground. The screen seems to be heavier than the base and battery and doesn't feel very solid. There's also only one headphone port now instead of two, but you can get a two or three way splitter online for a few bucks. These cons don't take away much from the overall experience, however, and I only took away one star for them. Compared to many of the other players from no-name brands or Panasonic, the build quality and screen quality just seem so much better. For the pros: Fantastic little screen. I didn't expect it to be so clear, and the resolution is surprisingly good for such a small and inexpensive device. The DVD settings are good and give you adjustable options like brightness, contrast, etc. there are a few different sound settings, I've found that Standard and Dynamic are both very good. Volume level is also good, and the sound quality is decent for the tiny speakers. You can always use headphones or plug a male to male cable into your car's AUX port and play the sound through the car speakers. The DVD tray is a push-open/push-close design and feels solid. The buttons are well designed, and while I do prefer actual buttons to these ones, at least any liquids won't get inside the buttons and ruin them. There is a Hold button to prevent button presses by you or a child, which helps. One big plus: the screen opens flat with the base, and is great for use like this with a player carrier in the car. It doesn't swivel or fold all the way back, but I found the full 180° opening to be perfect for our use and with the case we got. I can't comment on battery life yet, but if its sunny out and you have the brightness up, the battery won't last the 4 advertised hours. Just use the car charger and you'll be fine. The good news is that the car charger is about twice the length of the AC charger, so you can string it into the back seat if your accessory plug is only in the front seat. I ended up buying a Case Logic case/mount for the car that supports 7"-9" portable players and it works great; with four points of contact it's nice and stable. I think I'd recommend this player over the competition simply because I've had great luck with Sony DVD players and Blu-Ray players before and the build quality feels a lot better than the other ones around. GOgroove BlueSENSE TRM 3.5mm AUX to Bluetooth Transmitter Wireless Adapter - Connect to Headphone Jack on iPod, MP3 Player, Stereo, Laptop to Pair w/ Wireless Bluetooth Headphones & Speakers 2 Audo delay and custom charging cable. Returned. J. Pa*** Since I ordered this to practice playing silently, I was wondering if there was a delay when I purchased this, but didn't see one specified. I hoped for the best, and was wrong. There's a delay, about 1/4 - 1/2 second. Since it is digital, I would expect some delay, but this is excessive for what I wanted to use it for. Do not use if you're trying to do any time sensitive audio (playing an instrument, such as an electric guitar, bass guitar, electronic piano/keyboard, gaming, etc.) Another -but minor- annoyance, is the USB charger is not a standard USB cable on both ends. On the device end, it is a barrel plug. So you can't use your other standard USB cables to charge this, you need the one that ships with it. Returned. If you want to watch TV through this, where you can adjust video delay to match audio delay, it'd be just fine. If you're streaming music, or playing recorded audio, then you won't even notice. If you have a headphone jack on your TV and want to stream it to blue tooth headphones, this is probably exactly what you want. B009S2ASL2 US

Nexus 7 from Google (7-Inch, 16 GB, Black) by ASUS (2013) Tablet 4 Great tablet, but the USB charging cable almost caught fire! Bad product packaging and *** The new Nexus 7 tablet offers the best of Android without all the bloatware that you get from most tablet makers. The display is stunning - as good as an iPad mini. The user interface is responsive but scrolling is perhaps not quite as smooth as the iPad. I was a bit disappointed by the battery life, which isn't the greatest - six hours on a charge is about all you can expect with GPS and WiFI enabled, checking email and watching videos. All in all this is the best bang for your buck in a 7 inch tablet, at least as of this writing. Here's a warning - I left the supplied ASUS charger and micro-USB cable plugged in overnight (but fortunately the cable was not connected to the Nexus.) When I woke up the next morning the micro-USB plug had literally melted, with plastic oozing out of the plug housing and through the plug itself. Had the cable been plugged in it would have destroyed the Nexus USB connector. I've seen several reports on the web of this scenario. Until ASUS / Google does a recall or starts shipping a better cable my recommendation would be to avoid using the supplied cable for charging; either buy a good grade replacement cable or - even better - use a wireless charger. RetroDepth LT Lightweight Rechargeable DLP Link 3D Glasses for all DLP 3D Projectors (Benq, Optoma, Acer, Vivitek, Dell Etc) by Evolv3Dimensions (4 Pack) 5 Best Budget Option For The Latest In Home 3D Technology! BD*** When in the market for new 3D glasses after seeing up my new Benq W1070 projector, the first thought that came to my head was not wanting to sacrifice quality, but at the same time, wanting to have enough pairs of glasses around that I could entertain my family, guests, or whomever from the neighborhood happened to be popping by and wanted impressed. I didn't want to spend a fortune to do this, however, and as I'd noticed, some companies were charging close to $50 or more PER PAIR for 3D glasses supporting the latest technologies. Enter true depth! For a fantastic price, this brand new 4 pack has arrived and is just what the doctor ordered. For just a little more than the price I was looking at for one pair, I was able to get a 4 pack with all the features and supporting all the latest technologies. So, let's take a look at everything you get. I've attached some unboxing photos as well as some close up shots in the hope you can get an idea of the size and fit of the frames. Included: Inside the box were the glasses, storage bag, cleaning cloth, charging cable, and instructions. The box is sturdy along with foam lining so I knew that they were well cradled in transit. Design: These glasses are very lightweight, probably the lightest pair I have seen. I tried on a pair of the 3dTV glasses that have been very popular, and these are WAY lighter than those. Lens size is slightly smaller compared to the 3dTV set, but not by much. The nose piece is flexible rubber and should adjust to most faces - I think this design will actually make these glasses work for adults as well as kids, rather than having to keep two sizes around. A nice idea. Also, these actually do have the hinged arms where some other budget glasses had the straight arms, making storage difficult. The sensor for this is on the front center just above the nosepiece. Charging port appears just below the noisepiece and the power button is on the top center just above the nose. Very sensible design. Fit: After folder out, the arms still have a nice bend outwards to them so they can fit all style of head, big or small. I've been told I have a big head and these fit me easily, so I imagine they'll fit anyone. I also occasionally wear glasses and am happy to report that these fit perfectly over my regular glasses. Mine are thin though, so if your glasses are very large or thick, something to maybe consider. Comfort level is good, after a few minutes I didn't even feel like I had anything but my regular glasses on. Function: These things sync up FAST! Instantly from pressing the sync button (which doubles as the power button) I was viewing a 3d image. These also have the function to reverse polarity, so a quick click of the power button, and for those of you who experiment with your own 3d movies or downloads, you're all set. No messing with wearing glasses upside down or anything like that. Polarity flip is easy as a push of a button. I also love the fact I can USB charge these up and never have to worry about batteries. The glasses lit up a nice bright red led light as they charged, and that went out when they were full so I knew it was done. Nice. Some glasses, the light never goes off. They took around 3 hours to charge out of the box (though I suspect they arrived with some charge already on them). Haven't had them long enough to tell you how long the charge lasts, but the manual suggests around 20 hours (so 10 movies or so). Not bad at all. I use a very large (125") projection screen, and for me, might have liked a SLIGHTLY larger lens itself, as when viewing on a large screen like this, you have to angle your head just right so the image fills the lenses. Otherwise, a part of the viewing area may not be covered by the lens. Small price to pay and for most people, this will not be an issue. I was sitting very close to a very large screen. Red Block: A lot of the home theater folks like to know how well these block red, the typical color you see more of in a 3d projected signal. I'm happy to report these glasses do a very good job at blocking the red. This was easy to check my removing my glasses after switching on 3d mode. You can clearly see the red on a dark/black image or screen...Putting the glasses on then blocked the lion's share of this. There was still a bit more red than I have seen blocked in expensive pairs of glasses, but then again, I was looking for a set to share with guests and family, who will not even notice the difference. Value: For the price, I don't think this can be beat. You are getting 4 pairs of these with free shipping and I couldn't find a better deal on glasses anywhere else than this. And let's face it, you didn't get 3d to watch it by yourself. Even if you already have a couple pair, this true depth set, with all the features it provides, represents an amazing per-pair-price value. Recommend. B00H39FJ7U US

Turtle Beach - Ear Force Stealth 500X Premium Fully Wireless with Surround Sound Gaming Headset - Xbox One 4 Turtle Beach 500X Pros: Features, sound, mic quality, fully wireless. Cons: Ear cup depth Don*** A lot of reviews focus on sound quality and the other standard things you need to know about headsets, but I wanted to add some detail about this headsets and a few competing products. I am going to focus on comfort and sizing, since not a lot of reviews cover these in depth. My ears stick out a bit, and it has been quite a journey trying to find headsets with a good ear cup size that remain comfortable over longer gaming sessions. Still, my overall rating on the product does reflect the general opinion I have on these headsets, and I will cover a few points on how I decided on the rating. First though, a word on the measurements. Instead of the good old American Freedom units, I'm going to use metric units since they are a little more granular. Feel free to use google to convert them to numbers you might understand. I measured everything by hand, so these measurements may not be 100% accurate, but they should be within a millimeter or two. Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500X: The 500X weighs in a 302 grams. This includes the boom mic, but like the 800X this headset doesn’t need any additional cords so this is an all-in weight. Overall, the weight is not noticeable, and is spread between the ear cups and headband well enough to feel balanced. The ear cups are the biggest problem for me, at 59mm tall and 42mm wide internally, with a uniform depth of only 16mm all round. These are the shallowest ear cups of all the headsets I have tried, and thus press on my ears the most. The padding of the ear cups is fabric, but is soft to the touch and pretty comfortable. Over longer gaming sessions, the fabric ear cups breathe and help regulate sweat and heat a little better compared to the leather of the 800X. The head band doesn’t feel as tight, which makes the unit feel lighter than it is, but at the same time the headset will move a little as you turn your head quickly. The tactile buttons work well, and the dual volume wheels make it easy to “set and forget” the volumes of the game and chat independently. I would have liked the mic arm to work as a mute switch when raised, but the actual mute button isn’t too hard to find quickly. There aren’t as many audio EQ settings compared to the 800X, but you probably won’t miss most of them. The 800X has a nice touch where the audio mode is announced as you select it, whereas the 500X only beeps a different number of times to indicate which mode it is in, forcing you to remember the corresponding mode and beep count. Still, sound quality is very good, and the boom mic sounds crisp and clear to other Xbox party members. Unfortunately, this headset doesn’t come with a stand (although Turtle Beach sells a universal one) and the mini USB charging cable needs to be plugged in manually each time you are done playing. Another downside is that the receiver unit doesn’t have a USB port for the charger cable to pass through, so you may need to use two USB ports on the Xbox - one to charge and one to connect the transmitter. The transmitter also has blue LEDs- which is not a big deal, but I wonder if this is a cost saving measure with the PlayStation units, since it obviously does not match the green/black/white colors of the Xbox brand. Although not as sleek as the 800X, the tactile buttons, boom mic, true wireless audio/chat, and up to 15 hour battery life make this a strong contender for my goto headset, but unfortunately the ear cups depth makes my ears warm and irritated after long sessions. Mini rant: This is why exclusive partnerships for accessories are bad for consumers. My ears are apparently not Turtle Beach sized, and thus I have to compromise on comfort or wireless freedom. This is like Nike getting the contract to make shoes for the NBA, but then only making shoes that are a size 8. Turtle Beach Ear Force Elite 800X: The 800X weighs in at 374 grams. It is the heaviest unit I measured, but at least that is an "all-in" weight since it doesn't have any dangling cords. It is definitely a noticeable amount of weight when turning my head, but I wouldn’t say it’s too cumbersome. The band feels a little tighter than most other headsets, but it is necessary to keep them secure since they weigh a bit more. Still, it’s not too uncomfortable or noticeable over time. The ear cups measure in at 58mm tall and 40mm wide internally. The ear cups are mostly the same depth all around, but there did seem to be a minor difference with the front side depth being about 17mm and the back side depth being about 18mm. The ear pads are made of a leather type of material, and are meant to seal out noise for the headset’s noise cancellation feature. I found them to be quite comfortable, although after longer gaming sessions heat and sweat did start to build up inside. The reason I didn’t rate this higher is due to the mic performance and battery life. With the most recent firmware updates, friends in the Xbox live party chat still all claimed that I sounded a bit distant, muffled, or like I was on a speakerphone. Since my primary use for them is for Xbox Live party chat, this was not ideal- even though it technically affects my friends more than it affects me. I also found the buttons to be a little sensitive, and without tactile feedback, it can be hard to quickly and confidently find controls like the mute button while in the heat of battle. Furthermore, with a 10 hour maximum battery life, it isn’t quite enough to get through those occasional long days of gaming. The combo charger dock and transmitter is super convenient though- it’s really nice not having to manually connect a charging cable. Sound quality was good, and there are many EQ settings that will work for various media and game types. Still, for a premium price, they leave a lot to be desired in terms of comfort and functionality. Astro A50 Wireless Headset: The Astro A50 weighs in a 366 grams without the cord. This headset is wireless for game/tv/app audio, but requires a cord to be connected to the controller for chat functionality. I didn’t have the cord handy when I weighed them, but it doesn’t add a noticeable amount of weight (probably around 10 grams). The A50 is the second heaviest headset, but for some reason it doesn’t feel as dense as the Turtle Beach 800X. I think it has to do with the ear cup size and weight distribution around the band. The A50 ear cups are deep in the cavity where your ear sits, but the rest of the ear cup which houses the drivers and electronics are not that deep compared to the 800X. This makes the A50 sit closer to your head overall, so you feel less weight/force when you turn your head quickly. The ear cups on the A50 measure 61mm tall and 43mm wide internally, and are more of a box shape than rectangle. They are tapered as well, so the front of the cup is 20mm deep, while the back is 26mm deep. This is smart, since human ears generally start out flush to the head in the front, and fan out somewhat toward the back. There is also some room behind the ear cushion, so it is actually even a bit deeper underneath the cushion where the outer edge of your ear would slide in- although it was hard to measure that depth. The padding on the A50 is a very soft fabric- almost velvet-like in feel, and it is very comfortable and breathable. Overall, the ear cups feel very roomy, and the headband weight and tightness feel very comfortable. Over long gaming sessions, the band did seem to slip ever so slightly allowing the ear cups to lower- but it was extremely minor, and it may have more to do with the fact that these are a few years old at this point. Still, it was noticeable, although easily fixed every couple of hours. The sound quality is great on the A50, and the mic seems to be very good, although not as great as the Turtle Beach 500X. There aren’t as many EQ settings, but honestly this is not something most gamers are going to mess with. The mic does mute when raised up, which is a nice feature to have. Setup can be a little tricky since you have to mute the game audio that comes through the controller (since it is redundant with the system audio coming from the xbox optical cable). Otherwise, you will hear a slight game echo. However, once you realize what is going on, it is an easy fix. This is a limitation of the headset receiving the game audio wirelessly and then the game audio AND chat audio through the controller cord. You have a set of controls on the headset (made for PC game and chat mixing) and the ones on the controller adapter which serve the same purpose. The one benefit of having the mixer on the headset and the cord for the chat is that if you are gaming by yourself, you can connect your phone to the chat cable and pipe in audio from your phone. You will still receive the game audio via the transmitter, and you can control the volume from the two sources independently. The A50 does come with a nice stand that holds the transmitter and the headset when not in use. In addition to the port that connects to the Xbox, the transmitter does have a USB port that is used to connect the charging cable to the headset. The means that you only need one free port on the xbox to power both the transmitter and the charging cable for the headset. Overall, this is a fantastic headset for the PC, and it’s pretty good for the Xbox- although you’ll always have that one cord tethering you to the controller if you want to use party chat. The chat cable can be removed from the headset completely if you are just watching tv, although that makes it one more thing that you could potentially lose. Still, this is definitely the most comfortable wireless headset for me compared to the Turtle Beach 500X and 800X. Sennheiser G4ME ONE: The G4ME ONE, henceforth referred to as the “Game One” for readability, is a wired PC headset. It weighs in 270 grams for just the headset, but weighs a total of 308 grams including the super long cable. The ear cups are massive on this headset- with an internal height of 69mm and width of 37mm. They are deep as well, at 19mm in the front and 26mm toward the back. Like the A50, there is also some more depth behind the ear cushion as well. The ear cushions are also a velvety fabric that is extremely soft and comfortable. The band is very comfortable as well, with just the right amount of tension for my head. The Game One is an open back headphone design, which means that people around you will hear the sound coming from them. It also means that you will be able to hear things around you- for better or worse. However, the sound is great, and the open back design allows for the most breathability of any of these headsets, so long term comfort is great. Sennehiser does have a closed back design (the G4ME ZERO) that is similar, but I believe it is designed to use an external amp so the xbox controller may not have enough power to properly drive the speakers. The Game One is an example of a PC headset that is compatible with the Xbox One, but not optimized. For instance, there is a volume wheel on the ear cup which is great for easy access, but is somewhat redundant with the chat pad controls. However, I suppose this might be a good thing for the newly announced controllers that have the headphone port built in, although I don’t think we know how those will control the audio volume and mixing yet. Back to the super long cord- It is extremely long (3m/10 ft). It is so long that it comes with a velcro wrap that can be used to tie up the excess cord. You will probably end up wrapping the excess cord about 3 or 4 feet from the headset so that it doesn’t weigh down the headset, but then you will likely have this little bundle of weight sitting on your lap or sitting beside you. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but it is definitely noticeable. The cord also comes with the split 3.5mm connectors- one for mic and one for audio, and you will need an adapter to combine those plugs into one in order to fit it into the chat adapter. So while the headset is great, it comes with a lot of baggage. According to the site, there IS a console version that comes with a shorter cord- which is good, although neither one has a detachable cord so you’re stuck with whichever length of cord came on the version you bought. The construction is beefy though, and the mic sounds fantastic and apparently features some noise cancellation tech- although that is harder to judge as the owner. It also has the ability to mute the mic when the boom mic is raised, which is intuitive and useful. Overall, this is a great headset, and probably the most comfortable one overall, but the cord and required cable adapter give it a little ball and chain that you’ll have to live with. Microsoft Xbox One Stereo Headset: The Microsoft Xbox One Stereo Headset weighs in at 246 grams, or 254 grams with the cable. It is the lightest of all the headsets I tested, and also the simplest. The ear cups are massive on the outside, and the internal dimensions are as well at 62mm tall and 42mm wide. The ear cups are uniformly deep, but at a reasonable 23mm. The padding is fairly comfortable, and the head band is not too tight. Overall, sound is fairly good, and the design is pretty good. However, the retractible boom mic is a somewhat short, and this can make you sound a little far away. A friend with this headset often sounds quiet and distant unless he pushes the ear cup onto his cheek so that boom mic is closer to his mouth. However, this headset is a pretty good value since it come with the headset adapter, and is fairly comfortable overall. B00KVP76G0 US

Turtle Beach - Ear Force Elite 800X Premium Fully Wireless Gaming Headset - DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Surround Sound - Noise Cancellation- Xbox One, Mobile Devices 3 Turtle Beach 800X Pros: Feature list, charging cradle, Design aesthetic. Cons: Mic quality, button sensitivity, fit. Don*** A lot of reviews focus on sound quality and the other standard things you need to know about headsets, but I wanted to add some detail about this headsets and a few competing products.
