Weas*** This sketchbook cover has some genuinely good ideas behind it, which makes the durability issues even more disappointing. The organizational layout is well thought out. There are dedicated compartments for pens, pencils, and accessories, along with additional pockets that help keep everything organized and easy to access. If you like having your sketching supplies neatly contained in one place, this cover definitely delivers on that front. It's also reasonably portable and makes it easy to carry a sketchbook and basic supplies together without needing a separate bag. The overall size works well for larger sketchbooks, and the extra storage adds versatility. It's just the right amount of thickness as well. Unfortunately, the materials didn't leave a great impression on me. For the price point, I expected something that felt more premium. The material has a somewhat inexpensive feel, and I would have preferred higher-quality leather or a more durable fabric construction. More concerning was the durability. When I opened the Velcro flap covering the pencil compartment for the first time, the side ribbing immediately pulled loose (see photo). That's not the kind of failure you expect from a product that's supposed to protect and organize art supplies. It was a disappointing start to the experience and significantly reduced my confidence in the long-term durability of the cover. That's really the issue here. The design itself is good. The storage options are useful. The concept works. But the execution and build quality don't seem to match the asking price. Apple Pencil (1st Generation) 5 Purely Magical with Autodesk Sketchbook JC*** I bought Apple Pencil to complement my iPad 6th generation 9.7 inch. It is the first peripheral input device of its kind that I’ve ever used. All I can say is that it’s quite magical. I used it to draw the logo for Slave Planet Records. Paired with the free app Autodesk Sketchbook, Apple Pencil is a pure joy to use on your iPad 6th generation 9.7. I’m sure it’s just as amazing on iPad Pro. It’s well worth every penny. The design is pretty standard Apple smooth, but I feel like the pencil is fragile. I always treat my devices with great care regardless, but I ensure to handle Apple Pencil with extra care. I purchased an external silicone skin for it that has a tethered “hat” for the lightning connector cap, since the cap is very easily removed and lost. The skin also comes with a non-tethered cone to protect the point during storage. I store the pencil inside the pen slot of my iPad carrying case. I’ve never used the cable adapter to charge the pencil, only via direct connection into the iPad lightning port.
