First, a range hood should be ducted like this one, otherwise it would just blow the oily air back to your kitchen. Second, it should actually exhaust smoky air fast and push it outside. Many range hoods, actually all of them that I have used before this one, doesn’t take in smoke fast enough. The smoke ends up rising to your ceiling, cabinet surface, then slowly drop on all surfaces in your kitchen, even in other adjacent rooms. Then you end up having oily furniture. Third, I know many buildings don’t allow ventilation to the outside. Then you may try many thing such as use a high smoking point oil, use a ductless range hood, use a portable range hood, use an air purifier, or you try all of them combined. MA-112 Air Purifier 5 First home air filter, I waited for the right one Gz*** I ordered the MA-112 about a month prior to deliver, which was fine, as when I ordered the seller already had informed that things were back-ordered and coming from overseas. And hit power. That's it... Spent the day amazed at the counter on the front giving the real-time count of the PPM2.5 particles that it was capturing. It was amazing to watch what happened when my son cooked breakfast one day and filled the house with turkey bacon smoke... It went RED 999... But, over the next few hours, the count started going back down to the normal 6-7-9... unbelieveable.
