Brita Space Saver Water Filter Pitcher 5 Don't Flip Your Lid! It Fits!! Tan*** OK, I read a lot of reviews about the lid not going on properly and I even had a moment myself where I was like, "The filter is in correctly and the lid isn't fitting! WTF!?" But the filter wasn't in correctly like I thought... Here's what I figured out: First, make sure you line up the groove on the side of the filter when placing it in the pitcher. The bottom of the filter should line up with the "plus" shaped part of the pitcher where the filter sits. You're not done! I did this and the lid wouldn't fit right. Next, you have to make sure to push the filter down in place. Press gently but firmly. It will slide down just a little bit, giving enough room for the lid to fit correctly on the pitcher. I believe most people having difficulty with the lid were doing what I initially did: They drop the filter in place and it looks right. Then they try to put the lid on and it doesn't fit right. It won't click in place. Just be sure to push the filter down after placing it in the pitcher. Now you're good to go. Happy drinking! B00HYEIJLW US

10-Cup Water Filter Pitcher 1 Two Years of Issues K*** I purchased the Soma pitcher about two years ago. In that time, I have battled with the replacement filters every single time. The filter that came with the pitcher worked fairly well and the water flowed at a decent pace. Since then, every single filter takes 15+ minutes to filter one pitcher's worth of water. I tried all the tricks: Submerging the filter in water for over 15 minutes, shaking the filter under water to remove the air, etc. There is nothing that you can do to make these filters work properly. I decided to try another filter system such as the Water Drop and the Brits pitcher filter system. After preparing the filter and pitcher as per instructions, I began filtering water. Even after a few cycles of the filter water through the filter, neither the WaterDrop nor the Brita filter were able to reduce the TDS ;eve; to less than 1000 ppm. So unless your water is less than a probably TDS level of 200 ppm, you wil be wasting time and money using these pitcher filtering system. You would be better off in cost to buy containers of drinking water for the store which TDS levels are much less than 200 ppm. The cost of this water in my area is about $1 per gallon. B0722YFFCQ US
