Aquagear Water Filter Pitcher – Lead, Chlorine, PFOA/PFOS, Microplastics Filter, 10 Cup, 120 Gallon Filter Life - Filter Medi 4 Works well. Longer life(150 gallons) than most. Just*** This water filter works well but there are a few caveats. The filter is designed to have a fairly high flow rate, so that kind of puts you off the first time you use it. It's not like a Brita where you count one of 4 drips every so often. The cylindrical surface area is quite large for this filter. It takes up half the space in the water tank. The second issue is that you will need to put through and rinse at least 2 gallons(4 fillings) out of this pitcher before use. There is a white silt that tastes like you shouldn't be drinking it coming out on initial install. Do not drink the water until it comes out completely clear from beginning to end. You will not like it. But, after the filter is purged, the water comes out clear as a bell, and still maintains a fairly high flow rate. Again, the flow rate part throws people off because they are used to pushing water through what basically amounts to large straws, but this ain't that. This filter is more like the size of a two giant cappuccino coffee mugs stuck together. The only drawback that I see for all of these pitchers with gravity filters is that there is no way to deal with biological growth other than to clean and replace filters. Other gravity drips like the Berkey towers don't have this issue. But those are towers, so maybe somebody will come up with some kind of UV treated stainless steel pitcher at some point to make sure everything is dead, but that isn't on the market yet. Although for a little pitcher, this thing is about as cost effective and filter effective as it gets. I have no yet done a water test on this to see what pollutants are present, so what I'm saying could be completely confirmation biased. I just know what the before and after tastes like. The water I'm putting in is pretty foul(city just dumps barely treated lake water into the main water pumps), and it's coming out quite drinkable, so I like it. This isn't proper water treatment for SHTF survival situations, but for lowsy city/country water, it does a good job. B01FXN3E74 US

I have weak hands so using a sharp knife to find the tape and cut it was time consuming. BRITA - please use a colored tape of some other way to tack down lid. Second comment - I wish I knew Brita made a smaller pitcher. I have it on my list to buy later. I can't fill this large one all the way because it is too heavy. It's heaviness made me break it in the first place. Finally - a very picky complaint. The stickers for replacement reminders are too small and hard to get off sheet. Waste of paper and ink. More importantly, the longlast filter did not reduce the total dissolved solids (TDS). I have very hard water and without the filter the TDS was 569 ppm. After running the water through the filter I measured the TDS using a TDS sensor. The filtered water was also 569 ppm - not change. Makes me wonder what the filter is actually doing. I absolutely cannot recommend this product and I will be returning it. I also have a Zero Water filter and it does filter the TDS and the water tastes much better - but the filter does not last long with such hard water. This was the reason I tried the Brita.
