All these are valid, but with the right water bottle and a few adjustments the sprinkler works great for watering my small seedlings. I too struggled to find the proper bottle for a good fit. The sprinkler head was too big for a standard water bottle, and although it would screw onto a dish detergent bottle the threads and fit were not perfect. A 20oz soda bottle was the correct size and thread type. In addition, the bottle was sturdy enough to hold yet flexible enough to lightly squeeze to control the water flow. However, I still had some water which would leak from the threads and dribble from the sides of the sprinkler head. I easily fixed both. I placed a standard garden hose washer in the screw on cavity to make a good seal to the bottle and I ran a small amount of silicone around the rim of the top sprinkler insert to prevent leaks at this point. These two fixes took a total of 5 minutes and now all of the water only comes out the sprinkler holes. I can turn the bottle upside down and water only comes out when I give the bottle a light squeeze. Works like a champ! B01I727FQO US

There is a strip of Velcro between the outside air that did a pretty good job of keeping the zippers clean so they didn’t jam up to hard. The main zipper doesn’t feel waterproof, but I imagine the Velcro would stop flowing water...to an extent. I don’t think it would survive a full on submersion event, but it would definitely hold up for a while. The bag was rained on with a couple light rainstorms, but nothing too heavy. When I got home, a rinse off with a garden hose and it cleaned up just fine. It did a great job, survived some abuse, scuffed but no rips or holes. This is a nice very light, small and very, very quite pump. I chose it to supply water from a tank to a garden shower in our cabin. As an initial test I connected a 3/4" garden hose, about 12ft long and placed the pump in a bucket with about 8gal of water. Placing the hose on the ground, the water was flowing at a good rate but as expected for this type of pump not with a lot of pressure. (less than what you would see with a normal garden hose). Holding the hose end up, first 6ft then 9ft, the water output went of course down. At 9 ft it was about half / may be 4 gal/ minute. After 2 to 3 minutes the bucket was empty which adds up to above observations and the technical information provided by the manufactured. There was some residual water in the bucket because the distance between the pump inlet and the strainer (the blue part) is about 0.5". I will power this pump with a 12V 7Ah deep cycle battery and a 10W solar panel. B0747X6L47 US
