I did not touch my corded 1/2" drive B&D and its extension cord since the purchase. FYI, I'm not a carpenter I'm just a DIY handyman and I have nothing to do with or gain from Makita or any other manufacturer. Pros: 1-Super lightweight for reaching above your head and suitable to get into tight spaces with plenty of power. 2-Just tap the trigger and LED light will illuminate so you can place your bit precisely where it needs to be when lighting is inadequate. 3-Makitas established reputation gives me confidence that these tools will last/work properly for a long time. 5-Battery life indicator lights are a must on any battery. Before starting a project, I can guesstimate if I can finish the task without recharging. 6- I can switch one battery between the tools while charging the other. D*** I have always used flat metal fish tapes and this is my first experience with a polyester tape. I was a bit taken aback by how large the spool is, as it is much larger than similar one with metal wire. Probably due to the metal wire being flat and this is round. I also suspect they use the same case for multiple lengths for standardization and to cut down on cost. It is pretty heavy, but I can't compare to metal as I don't have one of equal size so don't know if one is lighter than the other. The metal tip feeds easily, and actually works better than the hook on metal tapes. It is more streamlined instead of blunt. I found the polyester wire to be both better and worse than metal. It is more flexible, but that is also a weakness depending on situation. The metal tape tends to want to bend to one side, but it is more rigid. This tape tends to bunch when it hits something instead of pushing through. Hope that makes sense, it's hard to describe. Anyone who has used both will get the idea I think. It feeds easily both feeding it out as well as reeling it back in. Being non-conductive makes it much more safe. For me, I will keep both types of fish tape on hand to use for different situations. All-in-all this is a nice addition to my tool bag. At $40 it is a solid price for what you get. B0GYXX6FNW US

You can use it on its own or drop it inside a larger bag so the TX22 doesn’t ding up my more expensive tools. That alone makes it worth it. For so long I've been just tossing my quiet tool, disassembled, into whichever bag/box/container it will fit in. So it is a relief to have this! The interior is soft but still heat-resistant material, which is exactly what I needed. Dimensions are spot-on, my fully assembled TX22 fits with essentially zero wasted space. No rattling around and no extra bulk. I assume a smaller tool or shorter quieting device will give about 3" extra space in length, always good to have extra space. I included a photo with a 34 round tool cartridge to give some impression of the size. The zipper feels adequate (time will tell on long-term durability), and while it doesn’t scream ultra-premium like some high-end tool bags, it also doesn’t give any reason to knock points off. The image and lighting were good enough for the task, and setup did not take much time. My only real suggestion is adding simple annotations in the app would be helpful. The result was useful enough to guide the next repair step.
