Its not a plug and play product and people with no knowledge of networking or IP should look for other products which are ready to use. However, the video streaming does not work well with all browsers and apps. I had to get a static IP from my internet provider as dynamic IP does not work always (may not be camera's fault). Logitech HD Webcam C310 2 Twice purchased, twice defective Jared Gr*** I'm not sure if there is a specific seller that's selling a batch of defective units, but I've received two units and both were defective. There's some issue with the mounting bracket where it does not have enough tension in the bracket to hold the device in place. As a result it will just flop off your monitor. I bought this to replace a C310 that I have had for years that finally died. The old unit had a really tight bracket which would stay in place very firmly. I bought the first unit to replace a few days ago and I knew instantly as soon as I unboxed it that the bracket would not hold and was proven correct. I filed for an exchange and found the same result on the replacement. I tried calling Logitech to see if they would just replace it as a manufacturer defect and was told that it needed to go through Amazon. Hopefully its just an issue with a certain batch of units. Enter the Savi, which uses DECT instead of bluetooth, and that makes a world of difference. Now, instead of being chained to my desk with a wired microphone or a short-ranged headset, I can get up and walk around anywhere in my house. The battery lasts me about six hours of continuous use. But it's not just about range and talk time: usability also matters. I find the Savi quite comfortable wear for its entire battery life, although the single-ear wear option doesn't feel particularly secure. The headset has noise cancellation that works well in rooms with air conditioners and fans that are loud enough to wreak havoc with my laptop's internal microphone. I even got in my car and drove it maybe ten feet before the called party noticed---and that's only because I lost my connection. All of this means that I am free to wander around and do things when I'm on the phone---without worrying that I'm transmitting a ton of noise. This makes holding long conversations a lot more convenient and natural. If you pair it with a high-quality, 1080p webcam, it's the next-best thing to actually being there. In terms of downsides, the mute button is a little hard to press in, and the hardware up/down buttons don't seem to change the volume a whole lot. You can adjust the volume more on your computer, just like any other audio device. The audio is on par with a very good landline telephone connection, which makes sense given its DECT innards. Still, if you're looking to listen to music or movies, you're probably better off buying a device that is designed for that purpose. The headset is fully linux-compatible, although on Ubuntu 13.04 it is necessary to add some lines to your xorg.conf file to get it to work correctly. Apple has not supported touch for MacOS, but I found that in combination with the touch-base driver ($150) that this Acer provides an excellent solution. I purchased the Mokin multi-port adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Adapter-Delivery-Thunderbolt-MacBook/dp/B07X5YM12G) that fits compactly into the USB-C ports on the Macbook and I attached the HDMI, USB-B (for touch-base driver control) and USB-C (for webcam). The monitor looks very good for my purposes. It's not nearly as good as the Apple Pro Display or 5K display, but it's much less expensive and also supports touch. Sharpness of small point fonts at the highest resolution is lacking, but it is not a serious problem. Gradients are very good, not phenomenal. Surprisingly, Acer's built-in webcam is supported by MacOS, but the quality is very poor. It is slow and the sensor is grainy. I attached a Logitech Streamcam to the top of the monitor and the result is outstanding. Touch functionality works very well for me. The touch-base driver supports multi-touch if you want it. But more importantly, the driver provides a well-designed interface for configuration of all touch events on a per-application basis. This is particularly important because Apple doesn't natively support touch, so configuring a correspondence between touchscreen events and mouse events is necessary. You can even change touch behavior within an app for menus or scrollable areas. For example, the default configuration uses two finger drag for scrolling, but one finger drag does scrolling in scrollable areas for web browsers (Chrome, Safari). That default set up is natural like a tablet, but it meant that you can't draw in browser apps like Google's Jamboard. No problem. It's simple to fix the touch behavior so that a one finger drag is a click-and-drag. In short, for about $1000 total (monitor, webcam and driver) I have a well-functioning large external touch screen monitor for my Mac laptop. B00FFLK7AM US

Vibrant, bright, default settings are perfect, 155hz overclock is so smoooooth. You won't find a better looking TN panel period. Perfect screen for gaming in 2020. The black framing around the screen is very slim, which is perfect for multiple monitor setups; the only problem would be attaching a webcam to the top of it, you'll have to get creative as the clamp will most likely cover part of your screen if you attach it normally. The stand: Excellently engineered and simple to mount/un-mount. It can be a little tricky flipping the monitor into portrait mode.. you have to lean it back to spin it because the stand doesn't go high enough. Not a huge problem but annoying if you're desk is cramped. Otherwise solid stand with room for cables to go out the back and height adjustment is very easy. The box: Came perfectly packed and protected (my UPS guy dropped it on the porch with such a thud you'd think he was having a bad day or something). No damage to the screen and I was able to repackage the monitor in the box when I moved recently with zero problems. The buttons and OSD: Simple and intuitive design. Took me all of 1 minute to get it figured out. Overclock settings are easy to find and enable. Has all of the usual features, etc. What's not to like? The USB 3 ports: These kind of suck in that they are on the bottom left of the screen and very hard to use. I highly recommend getting a small usb extension cable for these so that you don't have to feel around on the bottom of your monitor to use them as it is extremely tedious. Other than that I haven't had a single problem with them or the included cable. The HDMI cable: I was able to use the cable at the full 155hz without any problems. I did, however, upgrade it to a Club3D VESA Certified CAC-2068 DisplayPort cable with no looking back. DP or die! Issues with Windows 10: Windows 10 sucks of course so you may run into issues like games freezing upon waking up, having your Hz reset to 60 if your main monitor isn't running at 155Hz as well, problems with FPS in fully maximized windows, etc. I recommend ensuring you are running at a full 155Hz with a widget or just by paying attention because Windows 10 might try and undermine you like it has me. Probably an issue with my specific hardware, but beware. Not the monitors fault though. Thoughts: Great monitor. Picture is so much better than my previous Asus VS248H that it looks dark and dead in comparison. I knew my monitor sucked; I did not know that I was a caveman living in the dark ages. So glad I finally upgraded. What a beautiful monitor. The overclocking feature is easily enabled and it runs perfectly at 155hz. I should have gotten this when it first came out! Price has increased by nearly $80 since I purchased it, but I suppose that can be a testament to its demand. Anyways, I highly recommend this monitor and will be getting a 2nd one hopefully soon. I am using it to take time lapses of 3D printed objects and the camera is less than a foot away causing the object to be blurry while the far wall is in focus. While the description of the camera says it is a fixed focus I think they meant that it does not have auto-focus. The lens of the camera can be twisted to move the focus point! Other than that it is a standard raspicam. You do need to remove the sticker from the lens when you get it. Also, for some reason they didnt stick the camera module to the control board.
