My second attempt was much better- did the 1:1 ratio, screwed on the blender lid, hit the power button and turn upside down until it auto cuts off at 1 minute. This made a lovely smoothie, though a little more watery than I like. The battery lasted through both my smoothies, not sure how many more I could have made on the single charge. We wouldn’t normally need more than a few cycles at once, so seems perfect. Cleaning was a little bit of a hassle… my hand is too big to fit inside and there is a lip about 2” down that tended to trap my protein powder. I had to hunt for a scrubber with a handle to clean it well. Deducted a star for this design flaw. Overall, this is a great blender for our RV needs- looking forward to it being 5 o’clock somewhere! When I filled the blender cup, the liquid measured 6oz, not 8 ounces as it should have. For me personally, this is not a big deal. However, do NOT expect this to work with real protein powders. I use 12 oz of milk with my 2 scoops of protein powder. This does NOT mix the second scoop at all. Massive chunks, i have to shake and mix over and over. This thing, supposedly designed to be quick and easy, ends up making every protein shake i have into a huge ordeal. Also because you don't need those metal mixers you get from most protein shakers. Easy to wash with any hassle. No protein powder sticking to hard to clean areas. It does mix pretty well from what I've seen from the video. There has been some cases when some protein that doesn't mix gets stuck where you drink from. Easy to just get like a coffee stir straw, push it down and shake some more. I've read some of the other reviews about the slide cap was hard to push into place. In my case I have to give it some strength to push to close the shaker but it wasn't difficult. The slide cap definitely doesn't move when you are shaking it. As long as the cap doesn't move, it isn't really that big of a deal to me but I'm not sure how others would respond. I think it would help if it was easier to close. The measuring window is hard to see but I use almond milk in my shakes. With the almond milk, I'm able to see the measurement window better. Yet I can see it being troublesome if you just use water. There is this loop on the cover I'm not really sure what it is used for. On mine it actually looks like it just wants to come off. One side of the loop stays in place while the other side of slightly comes out when you hold on to it. Quality could be better on that. Besides that, I don't use the loop so I'm not really sure if that needs to be there. My honest opinion, just remove it all together. That loop doesn't really need to be there. Others might find it useful. I just don't use it. That's pretty much it on my review on it after a good amount of use. It is definitely a good product especially what it was designed to do.
