If you command the brightness down, and then unplug / replug (or reset the USB power input), then you need to press the controller's power button to turn back on, AND you need to command the brightness back down. 3. There's an "M" on the power button, implying that it controls a "mode" (blinking?), but pressing and holding did nothing. Again some instructions on the controller would eliminate this and the first problem above. I'm sure this works for others, but it's not what I was looking for. Bill*** This has been installed for a little over a week and all is great with this product. Installation: make sure you have the appropriate gap so these LEDs will fit where you want them. I buried all wires behind the dash so, you’ll need to remove enough trim etc to make sure all wires are not seen. Install the LEDs into your doors and dash, snap the wires back into the led strips and make sure you either use the cigarette lighter OR hard wire it to 12v. The lights are quite bright and the app, “Magic Lantern” has many many presets for light patterns. Overall I give this a 5 star rating. I see adds for other “brands” and you would pay 4 times more for them. These LEDs are just as good, if not the same thing labeled with another brand name. Buy these and you will not be disappointed. Cia*** I’ve been using this strip light daily since I installed it, and I really like it! I’ve never had one of these before, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to, but it seems to be really great quality. The app used to control it is really easy to use, too, which is a huge plus for me. I hate when products have apps that are either difficult to navigate or a pain to connect to the product- I was relieved that this app was really well designed. It has so many settings and color options, you can pretty much customize the lighting however you want. It also has a really cool AI function on the app that lets you type in the “vibe”/atmosphere you want and it customizes a lighting effect to match it (ex/ sunset on the beach, forest lighting, etc). For those that like warm cozy white lighting, it has that option, too! It doesn’t look like that gross cold, bright white color (unless you want it to lol). It’s also dimmable! so you can make it as bright/dim as you desire. I actually haven’t tried it with my Alexa yet, but it IS compatible with both Alexa and google, which is really cool because you can just tell Alexa turn it on/off for you without even having to lift a finger. Assembly was really easy. The hardest part was just having to climb up a ladder to reach my ceiling. Aside from that, it’s effortless. No hammers or nails needed- just stick it and go. I was worried the adhesive would lose its stickiness over time and the strip would end up peeling and drooping down, but it hasn’t. The adhesive has held up REALLY well, surprisingly. You can also cut it to your desired length. It weirdly fit my space perfectly without having to cut it, but it seems like it would be easy to do if needed. Overall, it’s a really cool product! I love how my room looks now! It’s so cool that I can customize it to fit my mood, or have it on just a nice, warm white setting. It’s so versatile and it has so many different settings- the possibilities are endless. I love the app and all the features it has, too.
