Installation of the dash cam was easy and straight forward. The menu settings and navigation are very intuitive and well laid out. I love the voice command feature and the 180 degree view camera. There is no/very little fish bowl effect. I am very impressed with the dash cam and the Garmin drive app. Connecting the app to the cam was very simple you can adjust the settings for the camera and view videos in the app. Transferring videos to the phone was very easy. I transferred videos from my phone to my PC via Bluetooth, only to find out that Garmin dash cam video/GPS data are not compatible with the various free dash cam software available. Garmin's way of encoding GPS data makes it incompatible with currently available third-party software. Even the cheapest dash cams either have their own software or they encode their GPS data in a way that it works with the free PC/Mac software available. Garmin used to have their own PC/Mac software but it had not been updated since 2011 and was discontinued and taken of their site in 2018. The female end that receives these fuses is absurdly tight in both slots using both oem and fuses that come with the kit. The male end if you match the blades up to an in spec fuse they are close but not identical, and the plastic housing on both taps is so far from correct it won't even begin to push into a micro 3 fuse slot. I needed another unit to install in my other SUV and found this latest model DL12, which has higher camera resolution. At first I thought it would be much bulkier but if you see picture I attached, it is about the same length as the DL9. The camera is extended out in the DL9 to clear the standard rear view mirror where it is attached by the provided rubber band/holders. Aside from the higher camera resolution, this model allows split screen so you can see both front and rear views side by side. With just the left to right swipe of the touchscreen, you can change from front, rear and split view, also up and down swipe adjusts camera view up and down in 4 steps for both front and rear views. The other added feature of this model is the GPS module. I installed it but have not permanently attached it to the recommended location (left or right side pillar). Unfortunately there is not much instruction on the GPS functionality and how it is used, so need a little more research on that. The back-up camera also has 4 angle settings (up and down) with the colored guide lines. Of course they are not the same as standard OEM back up cameras on new cars where the guide lines correspond to the typical width of parking spaces. Maybe that is something that can be incorporated in the next upgrade. B085Q86K7L US
