The outside is has a soft fabric-like texture and the inside is shiny plastic. The material is waterproof but I'm not so sure about the bag as a whole since there are zippers. The zippers do have a water resistant seal on the outside, which is a big plus. This pack will definitely keep the contents dry in any sort of heavy rain or splashes. However, if it gets submerged in a pool of water, you'd better pull it out quick or water will slowly infiltrate through the zippers. The front and back of the pack are bonded together and not sewn, which gives it water resistance. It is very flat since the front and the back are literally bonded together around the edges. The main compartment is 3.75 x 8.5 inches, which will hold a large size cell phone (like a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra) and a passport. The two smaller side compartments are 3.5 inches wide, sized to fit a few credit cards and keys. There is a reflective strip around the main compartment's zipper. The strap is soft elastic and is comfortable to wear. It keeps the pack in place without being overly tight. The 1.5 inch wide strap does a good job of distributing the force. The overall length is 29 to 34.5 inches, unstretched. The strap has a sliding length adjustment and a quick release buckle. The concept of convertible bags is amazing, and so useful. The material feels quality and the zippers are sturdy. They nest together well for easy storage when you're not traveling. My only gripe about these lies with the packing cube function. When you fully expand the pouch to fit more clothes in it, you are left with the straps from the convertible feature. The straps have to be tucked somewhere, but doesn't have a very secure dedicated pocket. This makes it a little awkward when packing, and can be a bit frustrating when using the cubes mid-trip, because you are having to go back and tuck the straps away again whenever they come loose, or use the cubes in their unexpanded size and be left without the full usable space. If you are planning to use the convertible features regularly, then these are absolutely incredible, 5/5 stars. If you are someone like me who primarily uses these as packing cubes, but sometimes use the convertible features, then I would knock this down to 4/5 stars just for the slight messiness of strap storage. This belt is a lightweight, pull-on running belt made from stretch polyester. It is built to carry essentials during running, marathon training, walking, hiking, cycling, and travel. My wife is 5 feet 3 inches and 120 pounds, so I ordered the US medium, which is intended for a 28- to 32-inch waist. It fits her perfectly. The flexible stretch fabric wraps her waist and stays in place without bouncing, slipping, or riding up. She reported that this was much more comfortable than clip-on belts. She said she was able to carry her phone and gels, which stayed stable while she ran. She was able to keep her stride instead of constantly tugging the belt back into place. She also reported that the snug wrap reduced chafing compared with a looser pack that shifts on every step. The belt is described as sitting comfortably against the waist during running and training. She reported that it was easier to wear for longer sessions because the fabric stayed in place without rubbing. This was important for her humid runs and long training runs, where a stiff or poorly placed belt becomes distracting. She likes that the pack has four large quick-access pockets for her water, phone, keys, cards, energy gels, and cash. She can separate items rather than stuffing everything into one pouch. We have argued for years about attaching her bib using clips or pins. I have always been a proponent of integrated toggles. This belt includes toggles for attaching a race bib. The benefit is that you can attach a bib to the belt instead of putting extra holes in a shirt. The belt is made from a moisture-wicking, quick-drying material. That makes her sweat less likely to soak the belt and the items inside. She can stay more comfortable in warm weather, and the pack dries faster after a run. This belt is truly lightweight, weighing 4.2 ounces. It adds very little weight and leaves her hands free for running form or for use when traveling. The pull-on design is simple to put on over shorts or tights. We also like that the belt is machine washable, so after a sweaty run she can wash it instead of leaving salt and odor in the fabric.
