They will all talk if they detect a problem and tell you which one is detecting it, so if your in the basement and the one upstairs in the hall is detecting something they all say "there is smoke in the hallway alarm may sound alarm is loud". I also found out at Christmas when i burned a pan in the oven that if the alarm goes off you can silence it with your phone and if you have a nest camera set up it will start recording the event even if you don't have the yearly subscription and it emails it to your email. Terr*** This product is great in that it's one of the very few (probably the only) products that meet my criteria: - hardwire, because my home has hardwired power for the smoke detectors - wireless interconnect, because although my home has hardwired power, it does not have hardwire interconnect - photoelectric, because it has been shown to respond much faster than ionization. For being the rare product that meets this need; 5 stars. However, I've had so many false alarms from these. I have more than 9 of them and have had to warranty replace multiple of them because they would randomly false alarm even after cleaning. Even some of the warranty replacements have false alarms! The worst part? They false alarm at night when everyone is in bed or asleep. NOT when cooking. NOT when showering. NOT when cleaning the home. Always when everyone is getting ready for bed or already in bed. When movement of supposedly "dirty" air is the least. These products are vacuumed regularly (hardly any dust builds up on them anyway). I tried using an air blower on a few and they alarmed immediately. The home has four large air purifiers and the AC air handlers run MERV13 or MERV16 air filters, so the air is definitely not dusty by any means--it's relatively VERY clean. Batteries are replaced annually. I've used Duracell ProCell and Energizer Industrial and other commercially available AA alkaline batteries. In fact, the only outright long term solution for a false alarming unit has been replacement. Cleaning doesn't seem to have an appreciable reduction of false alarms. For the false positives, minus one star. For having most false positives at night, minus one star. For even the warranty replacement models having false alarms, minus one star. I'm disappointed that there are no detectors with the newer detection technology that meet my above criteria. At this point, I'm tempted to evaluate a proper fire alarm system instead of dealing with these false alarming detectors that wake up my family and my guests at the most inopportune moments. That's the reason I purchased this brand, otherwise I would have purchased a First Alert brand. When I got them home and tried to install them I noticed that it still had the 3 prong wire pattern as the old detector did but this new detector has smaller holes for the clips that hold the plug securely to the detector. So I still ended up replacing the pigtail, which I would have had to do anyway on the First Alert brand. I just replaced them yesterday so I haven't had the chance to see if they give me any troubles. I'd say it's worth four stars. Here are some notes... The most important thing to me when it comes to scented candles is the safety/health aspect of things. If it is going to give you el cancer, it doesn't matter how lovely it smells, now does it? While I do not know the ingredients of this particular blend (except that it's made with Soy Wax, which is far less carcinogenic than, say, Paraffin) I will say that my instincts are pretty good about these things. When something is bad for my body, I feel a certain subtle physical hesitation. With the scent of this candle, I barely if at all feel any such thing. If you want to be safe, burn this (or any scented candle) in a medium or larger-sized room with good ventilation. Now about the scent itself - I bought some actual pipe-Tobacco the same day I received this candle and had advantage to compare them side-by-side. The brand is "Captain Black Regular," an aromatic blend. For the record, I don't actually *smoke* anything, but Tobacco has its uses in my spiritual practice as a purifying incense/smudge (outdoors only.) The subtler, more 'matured' Tobacco scent I get from the plastic wrapper of the actual Tobacco has just slightly more 'edge' to it than this candle, but they're comparably smooth, rich aromas. Of course, fresh/new 'Captain Black' smells like syrup and Molasses, hence I'm comparing the candle to the more desirable, mellow end of the Tobacco. I can see what the reviewer who said this stuff "smells like baby-powder" was talking about, but I don't think I would have thought that myself had someone else not said it first. If you are expecting a smell that will knock you over within 30 seconds of lighting, this is not your candle. Fortunately I am not that person. Given about ten minutes, the aroma of this candle gently permeates the air of my apartment, although I have a window open to increase circulation. Otherwise the scent-throw might not reach very far. I did not experience the thick, black smoke coating the walls near the candle as did at least one other reviewer here, but the wick had already been trimmed to 1/4" when I got it. I was a bit wary of the core I noticed in the wick, but I scraped it across a piece of paper to test for the dreaded grey streaking (which is a sign of lead) and there doesn't appear to be any. It's probably a Zinc core. It smokes noticeably when the wick is first lit (not just the initial lighting, but every subsequent one as well,) but that subsides within about ten seconds. Just try not to inhale deeply or be standing underneath a smoke detector during that time. When blowing it out, give it a good hearty 'gust,' so that the cinder in the wick goes out faster and causes less smoke. I also like the "black glass" look of the jar. It's classy AF. If you have a 'man-cave,' it would probably lend itself nicely to the decorum without keeping you up at night wondering if your having a scented candle counts against your masculinity. Yes, I am mocking you. You're welcome. ^__^ One thing that does detract from my opinion of this product is the diameter and the implications it has for wax-usage. The wax is just a bit wider than the heat from the flame will melt, leaving about a quarter inch of waste-wax around the edges. When you think of that as being true in all four basic directions, that means there's a full inch of wax that just won't be used by this candle. For that, I subtract one star. Then again, I make candles, so I may just scrape-out the remnants with a plastic spoon, melt them down with more Soy Wax and re-pour it into a smaller container, and maybe use this nicely-tinted container to store my actual Tobacco when it's finished burning. Overall, I say four out of five stars for this candle. Considering how wary I am of scented candles, that should probably be worth a lot. B00NLB7QNO US

In the directions if you want to set up for wifi, they ask you for a serial number. The ap says the serial number is in the battery cover. After some work and some muted frustration I discovered that the serial number is on the back of the wi fi bridge (needed for wi fi - the one in the battery cover is not it). I told the yale people about that (they at first denied that but i said the fact that they should make that clearer). Now that it's up I'm happy with it. Just watch the serial number issue if you want to have wi fi service on the lock to manage from your phone. Also, careful when you install the module (piece of plastic with a computer chip that powers the lock). The little pins in it tend to bend and I had to straighten (it plugs in like smoke detectors).
