However, when I plug this charger in it messes with the hub in weird ways. My wired controller will connect and disconnect randomly, other devices will report that they are charging and then they are not charging in cycle. The computer will make the dings that a USB device has been connected, and then disconnected in cycle. There is something odd about the charger that the computer just does not like at all. On a simple wall plug it works fine (it doesn't come with one, but I used a multi volt/amp charger - I do not know how much power it was drawing. They are a mid-level Chinese battery company that produces good batteries for everyday use. These brand new EBL batteris all consistently had 9.82 to 9.83 volts. This is not a big deal breaker, but no where on the packaging or on the batteries does it list when it was produced or when the 10 year mark will be. I ended up writing 8/26 to indicate when it was purchased. There seems to be a lot number on the bottom of the battery, but that does not help the consumer at all. I am not going to take a star off the review for this. I have found out that only higher end batteries have these dates printed either on the outside box or on the batteries itself. Only time will tell how long these will last on my smoke detectors, but EBL batteries are known to be reliable replacement without breaking the bank as they are less expensive compared to the brand name batteries. I don't think a brand-new alkaline battery should read that low (although the battery itself is still usable, it raises questions as to how long that particular battery will last). The packaging does not indicate a manufacture date. The packaging indicates a 10-year shelf life although, curiously, the online description says 7 years. Either way, that's a long time and these batteries will be used well before those dates. At the current price they are a good value, much less expensive than name-brand batteries.
