Johnson Level & Tool 99-027K Self-Leveling Rotary Laser System, 8.75 4 Good product, easy to use, a few things to know though Da*** I used this laser level to level a footer for a new home. There were a couple items loose in the carrying case and I can’t see any place to secure them. A pair of glasses doesn’t much matter but the laser detector bracket being loose is disconcerting. The tripod and laser are securely held as is the measuring rod. The tripod leg locks take a lot of force to loosen and I worry they or the small pins holding them could break. The locking handles tend to twist and need to be wiggled till they are perpendicular to the pins before putting the force required to unlock the legs (so the tripod legs can be extended). The 9 volt laser detector battery died in about an hour. I bought high quality replacements for the detector and the 4 C batteries that power the laser, though I have used the unit many times since and the laser housing batteries are still working fine. I would recommend buying high quality batteries and having them in hand. It is easy to use and accurate. I expect to use it for many projects in the future and think it is a good value. The automatic leveling is a great feature. I level the tripod by sight, leave one leg unlocked and then move the unit till the tone stops and then slide the last leg till it hits the ground and lock it in place. B074HPKGQ6 US
