The Expedition line is what soldiers in a stylized Hollywood movie might have on (at posting, a couple colorways of the Expedition have fluctuated down to similar prices as the Weekender. I have the Expedition too. It's bigger, quieter, cooler. Check it out. This is basically a minimalist's watch. I may get a solid gray or white NATO strap and make a true minimalist's watch. Does run about 5-10 seconds fast per day but it’s to be expected, especially at this price point. Love the black and khaki dial. The dial also has a very subtle texture that looks great. I personally wasn’t a fan of the NATO strap so I switched it out for a nice brown calf leather strap with khaki stitching to match the dial. Also switched out the strap buckle with a bead blasted one to match the case. Timex Men's Easy Reader Watch 4 Especially useful for shortsighted people Francisc*** I've owned one of these (black instead of white, otherwise the same) for a couple of months now. I can say a couple of things: 1. The physical resistance of this watch is somewhat paradoxical. I fell from my bicycle once while using it, and although the bezel was noticeably scratched (the watch hit the pavement, ouch), it went on ticking with no other visible damage. But just some days ago I dropped it just seconds before falling asleep. The distance between the point where I dropped it and the floor was less than 30 centimeters, 40 centimeters tops, but it immediately broke open, the battery flew from within, and it took some serious technical service to repair it. Maybe something broke inside during the bicycle incident, and when I dropped it the damaged parts just broke loose or something. But it is paradoxical at first sight: it survived a bicycle crash but almost died from a domestic dropping. 2. I'm shortsighted and this watch helps a lot. The markers make high contrast (at least in my black version), the numbers are rather big, and the indiglo is of great service. Indiglo lights up the watch when the crown is pressed. Very resistant (many watches would have sighed their last breath on an incident like that one on the bike). I like the band, but I have a womanly wrist, so "manly men" may not care for the band.
