Even though I'm not installing the new hose and mounting this purchase was still worth it. The package came with everything needed to install the whole setup including a small roll of taping (see photo) so while I ordered a separate roll of tape, I probably didn't need to. This showerhead has many nice settings including a massage setting and all work well. It delivers good water pressure even though the pressure in my home is usually not that great. Top bar is thin and I can imagine a tall person accidentally banging into it and destroying it. The magnetic clasp is quite strong, so as you close and open the door, the glass ripples frighteningly. I have on order a couple of plexiglass square rods which I intend to glue to the long edges of the door to increase its stiffness. But I have doubts as to the longevity of the door. The door bottom has a poor seal with a plastic lip which flops over the metal lip at the bottom of the door. Has to be positioned and/or cut exactly (no adjustments) and if you have a powerful shower head it will still overflow a bit. I don't think this door is worth it, wish I could've bought the unit w/o door and got a good 3/8" glass one. Install was straightforward, somewhat time-consuming, not sure if I saved more than 20% with the labor compared to a tiled shower. On the screen, this shower faucet is stunning, but in person it leaves a lot to be desired. Our contractor installed the trim (with the valve, which I purchased separately), and the first time I stepped into the shower I was disappointed. I purchased this specific set after returning another because it's made out of metal, unlike many others that are a chrome-finished plastic. The disappointment set in after realizing the build of the metal parts. The temp/pressure handles are are a bit wobbly, with an uneven gap between the parts. The spout, which is beautiful, and long enough to reach the tub (it's jetted, with a long distance to go between the wall and the tub), feels cheaply made, and I hesitate to balance my foot on it while washing my legs. The shower head is fine... really, just fine. Again, it looks very nice, but when handled, it is clear it is made with cheap, light materials. Unlike the spout, the pipe that comes out of the wall is very short. We had to purchase a separate, longer pipe in order for the shower head to clear the tub spout. This product does not warrant the price I paid. It is way overpriced for the quality that is delivered. At this point, I've been living with it for two weeks. While I am extremely disappointed in the quality, it does not pay to have my contractor come back out and redo the job; I'm now stuck with a very fancy-looking, overpriced, flimsy shower, in my newly renovated master bathroom. They are both about 22 inches at the shoulder and weigh about 40 pounds. The tub has plenty of room for a dog this size. When it first arrived I was concerned about the sprayer. It looked like a sink dish sprayer and I was concerned there would not be enough water flow to wet down and rinse the heavy poodle coat, but the spray comes out with some force and does an even better job than the hand held shower in our bathtub did. I am shorter than average (4' 10") so we cut about 6 inches off the legs to make it more user friendly for me. My one complaint would be the faucet shower that comes with it. One must depress the handle for water flow and it must be held down the entire time. Letting up on the handle shuts off the flow. It can become a bit uncomfortable for arthritic hands. So far - it is not enough of a problem for me to look for an optional shower head, but is something one with compromised hand strength may need to think about. Over all - this is a HUGE improvement over kneeling at the side of the bathtub for dog bathing. It was easy to assemble - but connecting to the plumbing was a challenge since the drain in the tub did not line up with the drain in the sink and given the installation area moving either of them wasn't an option. Problem was solved by purchasing a flexible drain and a couple conversion connectors for the water shutoffs. B00TA85LM0 US
