The installation was very easy and the supplied screws and inserts work fine with the acrylic shower that is backed up with sheet rock. My shower fixtures are brushed nickel which was not an option so I ordered the the stainless steel which is a very good match. This coffee maker has a "strong" setting which slows the hot water flow to increase steep time. Here's the thing, the water spout is just a single stream spout; because of this not all the coffee gets steeped. I use good, whole bean coffee and grind right before I brew, plus I use a large volume of coffee. Regardless, the coffee maker struggles to make rich coffee. It comes with a water fliter that helps to disperse the water evenly, but after a few uses it clogs a bit and water ends up leaking past the edge seam rather than flowing through the filter membrane , resulting in a, for lack of a better term, point loading of water on the grinds. This leads to weaker coffee because all the grinds are not steeped. I had a previous gen Mr Coffee maker model and the spout was a wide fan (like a shower head) and it made a better cup of coffee. The cartridges in the valve were installed backwards and required them to be removed and re-installed properly. 2. The assembly does not fit together the way the photo shows. The cups that are supposed to extend to the wall coverings are not big enough and the screws included with those pieces did not fit the assembly. While it doesn't look terrible (we put the cups on there leaving about a 1" gap to the wall covering, I had to go buy longer screws in order to put the whole thing together. 3. The shower arm is incapable of sealing with either the riser rod or the shower head. I've had to replace it with a new arm. 4. The showerhead was faulty out of the box -- water just kind of dribbled out of it instead of spraying. Turning the plastic dial on it in an attempt to adjust the flow only made it worse. I had to spend additional money buying a new showerhead that actually worked. Now, it all looks great, but it functions like crap. Save yourself a headache and money and look elsewhere. B0043BEUXK US

hansgrohe 88590820 Wallbar Slider, Brushed Nickel 5 Easy Install, Angle Adjusts Ol' *** This was the original fixture so 20 years of use has taken it's toll. We tried to fit a larger hand-held shower head, (Delta, I think), and it broke the holder in the slider. I removed the entire bar and dug out the old plastic anchors. Since I wanted this to be very sturdy and last awhile I, carefully and slowly, drilled out the holes a bit from a 1/4" to about 3/8" and inserted new, and larger anchors. The last 1/2" took a few taps with a rubber mallet. After that it was just a matter of screwing in the two anchor screws with the new slider installed on the bar, tape the threads on the incoming water source on the wall and tighten everything down. Once question through all this: Will the angle of the hand-held holder adjust? It wasn't possible to get enough torque with the slider off the bar so I couldn't tell until I had it all together. Once the slider was on the bar and the bar securely attached to the wall, the clear plastic holder part moved to change angles with a strong twist. It clicks with every angle change. I suspect that will get easier with time and use. I love Hansgrohe products. Well made and made to last. I also just replaced the 4-way cartridge. Also a fairly easy project. B004UA5EHK US

KOHLER K-45209-CP HydroRail -R Shower Column, Polished Chrome 5 Biggly Quality for a Biggly Price W. M*** This is a perfect shower remodel of excellent quality. You only want to do this once because repairing the wall after installing an inferior shower column that must be replaced later is sad. This piece was designed for a remodel and couldn't be of better quality. It's worth the price. You can always replace shower heads or hand showers but this is for keeps. Some thoughts: You will need a 3/8 inch allen wrench to install the water pipe to the in-wall water connection. The upper part of the rail attaches to the wall around the water inlet by using some behind the wall anchors which require a half inch hole. If the drywall is not very close to the water pipe the current hole in the wall will leave you with little to no room to properly use the anchors. The current water pipe is mounted on a 2x4 behind the wall though and you should be prepared to use a long 2 1/2 - 3" stainless screw (x2) as a better mount instead of the included drywall anchors. The lower part of the rail connection requires that you drill a 1/2 inch hole through the tile. This can be daunting. Use a 1/2" hole saw, mark it very carefully, cover your tile with a couple layers of blue painter tape to help keep the bit from sliding around on the tile, go slow speed and don't hurry. The included wall anchors work very well on a tile wall. You need a level (or not) depending if that is important to you. Teflon tape. A small tube of clear silicone is needed to finish the installation. The whole thing is easy if you take your time and the result is awesome. Moen 1920ORB Remodeling Cover Plate 5 Remodeling Phase: Part One Z woman R*** Here's the Story. We almost ripped out our old shower stall because years ago we installed a two handle hot and cold system that has been a nightmare, because it takes too much fiddling and adjusting to get a non-scalding or ice cold temperature!! I dreaded wasting water while I stood outside the shower cussing and clammy with water running down my arms trying to reach a "happy medium" of temperature that wouldn't cause third degree burns or icicles. And if someone just happened to run the water in the kitchen or turn on the dishwasher I was tired of the immediate shower evacuations because what came next out of the tap had me singing in the key of C.... So do yourselves a favor folks, and be sure to install an anti-scald valve if your faucet does not come with one!!!! We bought a Delta Linden T17294 because we put a chrome one in our master bath and simply love it. It is easy to adjust and doesn't change temperature while showering. We also live in a hard water area so the easy clean rubber nubs allow water to flow steady and without problem, a gentle swipe will remove deposit and keep everything ship shape. We have owned the chrome one for about 6 years and even though a lot of it IS plastic it has held up beautifully. Ditto for the 6 ft hose, no leaks, no problems it and the shower head stays beautifully shiny year after year. I was concerned mixing the Moen plate with the Delta Linden because one shade was Oil Rubbed Bronze and the other was Venetian Bronze but putting them together I am happy to report they are a good match. Before we started our renovation "gathering" we looked at all ways for patching the shower wall never realizing such a thing as a remodel plate existed. My existing two handle set was for a bath tub, so I hope this is useful information for someone out there who is going through the same kind of renovation headaches. It covers what will be the gaping holes from the two faucets.I don't feel so stupid either, knowing that this product exists, I expect a lot of people make the two handle mistake. I also purchased a used Moen cover plate on Amazon for a significantly reduced price, taking a leap of faith I figured who'd really be seeing the inside of our shower stall so a scratch here and there wouldn't make a difference-- we'd probably add a few ourselves, and since it was a purely decorative thing not a moving part, why not? The "used" plate is beautiful. I can't see any scratches anywhere except on the back of the plate and no one but the plumber will see that!!! As of this date, we have not installed yet, I will let you know via a review for the Delta Linden, but I don't foresee any problems--- as all matches up nicely. I also had to purchase the Delta R10000 :UNBXHF valve and I would recommend sticking with a matching valve for what ever faucet you decide to purchase as sometimes faucets and valves can be incompatible if they are from different manufacturers.
