The other end is a USB A but you can pull this connector to expose a USB C. C will be faster than A and should be used if possible. If you use USB A, please make sure to connect to a USB A 3.0 or better terminal on computer. See your documentation for this location or color. The wire diameter was an impressive 4.5ish mm and has a reach of about 4 feet. The device has 7 USB ports, of which 3 are C and 4 are A. The unit is not heavy but it is heavy enough that the anti-slip rubber strips under the unit keeps it in place. Connection for data such as a card reader was really fast and it has no problem charging other devices while connecting as a drive.
