It also mulches perfectly without clumping the grass together the way many rotary motors do. This means the grass looks nice after a fresh cut. -Environment healthy. There's no motor so there's nothing but the soft sound of the spinning blades and the birds chirping in the background. -Easy to use. I takes 4.5-5 feet to stick it down any dipstick and you have to turn the pump sideways and try pumping it. It's impossible because the top of the tank leaking fluid from the excape air hole on the side because it's not meant to be placed sideways! I bought a 1/4 coupler and 12 feet of 1/4 plastic line from the hardware store and stuck the 1/4 line together(the smallest line supplied from the unit) and can finally use it. They need to make the lines 10 feet long and it would be perfect. Note: Mine never came with istructions, but I saw a review and it said to attach the bigger diameter line to the shorter line to make it longer. It wouldn't work for me because it won't seal. The lawn was beautiful for the first year, then last summer crabgrass and creeping charlie began to take over our yard from our neighbor's poorly kept lawn. Crab grass grew under the fence, and I found myself battling it, pulling handfuls and accomplishing nothing. The creeping charlie spread horrifically, as the lawn mower would chop off tiny bits of the above-ground root and it would start growing elsewhere. Last fall I had managed to kill all the creeping charlie with another weed killer, and figured I had probably seen the last of it. Not so! I followed the advice of a local nursery this spring, and added a thin top dressing of organic compost to my lawn, thinking it might save me money on my water bill. I also overseeded. The hot temperatures of Eastern Washington makes crabgrass thrive and my grass die. I didn't want anymore $250+ water bills this summer, so thought I'd try. Here it is mid-August, and my front lawn is now 70% crabgrass and spurge, dreaded spurge. I gave this product a try at the advice of an Ace Hardware Store garden clerk. I followed directions, and also the advice in one of these reviews. Mixed 6 1/2 tablespoons with 1 tablespoon dishsoap, 1 gallon water and applied with a garden sprayer, in the evening, when it was below 90 degrees. Two days after application the creeping charlie (40% of my backyard) started wilting. One week after application the crabgrass is turning orange and purple. The spurge is turning yellow and shriveling. One week later I reapplied to any weeds I did not deem sufficiently close to death's door. I still have my water set for every morning. I have not mowed yet, hoping the killer will reach the roots before I mow. I will mow this week, wait another two weeks and see if I need to do any more spot-spraying. Then I plan to compost again, plug aerate and powerseed my lawn for Fall. In the Spring, I will use this weed-killer preventatively, and hope that my efforts to bring my yard back to life will be successful. B001OXDDTC US
