The Naga V3 Pro can have up to 23 programmable buttons, and I started out using the MMO-style side plate with its tightly packed grid. I love the concept, but in practice I struggled with it. The buttons are small and close enough together that I had trouble reliably identifying which one I was pressing without looking. I eventually programmed only the top row because that was about as much as my thumb could reliably navigate without memorizing an entire telephone keypad. Then I discovered something I somehow missed when I opened the box: there are two additional side plates. That completely changed my opinion of the design. Instead of forcing myself to adapt to the MMO layout, I can swap in one of the simpler configurations that better matches how I actually use a mouse. The dense button grid is still there for MMO players who can build the muscle memory to take advantage of it, but I'm not permanently committed to it. The interchangeable controls let me dial the complexity up or down depending on what I'm doing. Everything else about the mouse has been excellent. It's comfortable and extremely responsive, and I particularly like having wireless connectivity without giving up the option to use it wired when needed. The HyperScroll tilt wheel is genuinely useful too, especially outside gaming when moving through long documents or pages. Battery life has also been excellent. I'm not constantly thinking about when I last charged the mouse or when I'll need to charge it again, which is exactly what I want from a wireless mouse. For gaming, the interchangeable side plates are especially useful because I can choose a simpler layout for general play or work, or mess around with the dense MMO button grid when I actually want maximum programmable controls. Value for money is harder for me to praise at around $180. This is unquestionably a premium mouse at a premium price. If I were only going to use a handful of buttons, I personally wouldn't spend that much. But the interchangeable side plates, excellent battery life, connectivity options, build quality, and overall performance make the price considerably easier to understand. Someone who actually takes advantage of everything it can do is getting a lot of mouse for the money. I'm still probably never going to become the person effortlessly firing off commands from a tiny keypad with my thumb. Fortunately, the Naga V3 Pro doesn't require me to be. This mouse has a much more pronounced hump which makes reaching the forward button difficult if you have medium or small hands. Compared to the Kone XP it feels designed for much larger hands. I really like the way the buttons are laid out other than spacing, if there were a slightly smaller version of this it would be awesome. One thing I noticed is the upper-inner corners of the forward and back buttons seem to be anchor points and the button wont actuate if you try to flick there to activate the button. you have to aim more down and forward. This ultimately should have been a Kone XP air 2 and not followed the MC7 in shell design, it feels like they were so focused on putting a screen on the MC7 that they dragged the MC3 and MC5 along and tried to make the same shape work. One more note is that the scroll wheel feels much flimsier than the kone XP air. There is a lot of play in the tilt functions. Also I noticed the scroll wheel encoder for the side scroll wheel occasionally gets stuck on a positive edge leaving the input active. B0H11HX2HQ US

It can be connected 3 ways; wired (by plugging in the included USB-C cable, which is also how it's charged), the 2.4 GH USB dongle, or by a Bluetooth 5.0 connection. The Bluetooth pairing was fast and trouble free. I connected it to my Samsung S24 Ultra. It paired quickly and the connection was strong and stable. It has a pretty standard 6 button setup; left and right, middle, scroll wheel and 2 thumb controlled buttons on the left side. All the buttons functioned well. It also has 6 different dpi settings; from 1200 dpi to 12800 dpi, so everyone should find a setting to suit them. If I could nit-pick one thing it's the cord. This is his review: This mouse is pretty nice, in my opinion. It's pretty big, but it feels nice when you get the right position on it. The colors a decently bright, I mean, you won't see them outside on a bright day, but they are nice. Thumb rest is well placed, and has a good shape. Everything works nicely and had a bit of extra. Good tracking and scrolling, dpi can be low or through the roof, whichever you prefer. It is Linux compatible, like most things, and has absolutely silent lmb and rmbs. The other 4 buttons are kinda loud, but not awful. It also connected to my computer from 20 feet away and from another story. Initial charge too an hour, and all after that have taken 5-10 mins. It butterfly clicks really well, there is a lot of space for it and the scroll wheel doesn't get in the way. It can double click but cannot easily drag click. My only issue with it is that if there's too much stuff between the mouse and connecter, it starts cutting out. In total, though, it's a really nice mouse. Edited 6 months later: He is displeased with the butterfly clicking and finds the mouse to be merely servicable. Emi*** This is a great wireless gaming mouse that gives you solid bang for the buck by having a bunch of premium features you wouldn't expect that this price point. The mouse itself is comfortable in my hand (I'm not enough of a mouse person to be able to tell you exactly what shape it is). It's on the lighter side, but definitely not an ultra-lightweight mouse. It can be used over BT, wired, or proprietary wireless dongle, which is nice. The charging dock itself is the wireless dongle, which is a mixed blessing -- it's nice you're not at risk of losing the dongle, and it's convenient if you use the dock to charg, but it is a bit large and unwieldy if you're trying to hide it. The dock itself is a neat charging solution, the main downside is the big bright colorful Gamer Lights I can't seem to figure out how to disable. Obviously charging the battery this way works great. The mouse itself also has a built-in screen, which isn't a feature I knew I needed but is absolutely lovely for configuring things like tracking speed and wireless mode. Overall, this is a solid option if you want a luxe-feeling gaming mouse at a low price and aren't a complete nerd for things like individual mouse sensors. B08QF649FQ US
