Soft water-repellent carry case can hold a fair amount of stuff. : Meh (good ideas not well executed): jumper cables - most people do not use these anymore, they use portable jumpers. These are moderate gauge and not very long. Tow strap is lightweight and about 8 feet or so with hooks at either end. Would never trust to pull a car out - perhaps OK for lighter items. Tool kit is extremely basic and light duty. No sockets or adjustable wrench, only one size small screwdrivers. The one safety triangle is very light and doubtful it would stay upright in wind or passing traffic. Better to have at least 3 to stagger down the road. First Aid kit - band-aids mostly. Replace with hiking emergency kits, they tend to be quite compact and thorough. Nah (not needed/poor quality): gloves, poncho, flashlight, safety vest, ice scraper, tire gauge. Cheap items and so much better available on the market. Safety vest is flammable; could be used as emergency flag on car. Bottom line - decent ideas and functional spread, but not particularly well executed. The mole pouch type are just too bulky and look more like a first aid kit plus I didn't like the idea of having to reach up and down into something to pull... mobility issues you know at my age and all.... so being able to reach in and pull in a sideways motion was crucial. This bag gives me all that... the way it hangs from your shoulder makes it effortless to pull the zipper down one handed and reach in and pull quickly and easily. The fact that it isn't a "square" mole pouch type makes it hug your body and fit very nicely over clothing or under a jacket and you can NOT tell there is a pistol in it!! The "holster" that comes with it is not great but does the job. I intend to replace it with a true holster as the velcro wrap-around one that comes with the bag is very difficult to easily slide your pistol back into. Also, getting it inside the bag at just the right angle is difficult due to the velcro grabbing it as you're trying to get the proper angle... I fixed this by sliding in a piece of printer paper folded in half the with my pistol inside the "holster" I slid it all in till it was in the right position before sliding the paper out at which point the holster grabbed the velcro and stayed in perfect place. You have to do this WHILE WEARING the bag to be sure it's the right angle for your pull. Hope this helps someone - I'm just thrilled with mine! If I wasn't so camera shy I'd do a video haha. The flashlight is small, but mighty, taking up very little space but providing a bright, bright beam. The tool kit is mediocre at best (the hammer comes pre-rusted), but is sufficient for an emergency kit. When that happens it's a good idea to have styptic powder on hand. In a pinch you can use corn starch or fine corn meal but styptic works better. When I saw this PetVet Medic BleedGuard Styptic Powder for Dogs & Cats available as a free promotional through Amazon Vine, I ordered it. When you have pets, you need to have a first aid kit in case of injury or emergencies. There is a shortage of vets and appointments are far out unless you go to the emergency vet. I spent $800 just to get my old dog checked out, palliative care at home and eventual euthanization. Over time I have assembled products for minor ailments to be able to take care of them right away or hold them stable until they go to the vet. Styptic is a definite must to help stop minor bleeding. The amount you get in this bottle is a decent price, not overly high but definitely not the least expensive. This size jar might last years or you might not have to use it at all. I hope I won't.
